I am from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Right now i am an elementary school teacher, and my age is 43. Am I eligible for any of the government jobs in educational department. Please do help me, i almost searched the whole internet but of no use. Finally at last I came here with hope, so do help me.

No, you are not eligible for AEO/DEO/CEO because of the following criteria.

Eligibility criteria for AEO:
- The candidate should complete their graduation or a 3 degree from recognised university in state of Tamil Nadu.
- The candidate should have studied Tamil as their main language in part - | or part - || in SSLC.
- The age limit is 35 years and 5 years age relaxation for SC/ST.

Eligibility criteria for DEO/CEO:
- The candidate should have their masters degree from any recognised university from the state of Tamil Nadu with minimum 50%.
- The candidate must have studied Tamil in their intermediate.
- For SC/ SC(A)/ ST/ MBC/ DC/ BC/ BCM there is no age limit, for other caste the age limit is 35 years and 5 years age relaxation for the physically handicapped candidates.

Hello, if you belong to ST/SC category or OBC category then you are eligible to apply for the TNPSC AO/DEO Examination, but if not, Sorry to say that candidates below 30 years of age are eleigible to appear in the examination. There is no age limit for ST/SC/OBC candidates.

TNPSC (Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission) organizes Examination for thr post of DEO (District Educational Officer) and AO (Agricultural Officer) every year. If you are eligible, you can apply for the 2017 examination.

* Eligibility Criteria :-

1. Educational Qualifications :

(i) For DEO :

>> You must have passed Master's Degree from a University from Tamil Nadu or equivalent.

>> You must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in any of the subjects : English, Tamil, Zoology, History, Physics and Chemistry in the Master's degree.

>> You must obtained a B.T. B.Ed degree from a recognized University in Tamilnadu.

(ii) AO :-
.
>> The candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture.

>> Must have adequate knowledge in Tamil.

2. Age Requirements :

(i) For DEO :

* For General : The must be below 30 years for open market.
* For SC/ST/OBC : There is no age limit.

(ii) For AO :

* For General : The age should be between 18-30 years.
* For SC/ST/OBC : The is no age limit.

AEO stands for Assistant Enforcement Officer.
DEO stands for Data Entry Operator.
Recruitment at AEO and DEO post is done by SSC(Staff Selection Commission).

DEO is recruited through SSC CHSL(Combined Higher Secondary Level).
18 to 27 year candidate with higher secondary certificate are eligible to appear in CHSL.

AEO is recruited through SSC CGLE(Combined Graduate Level Examination).
Maximum age to appear in CGLE is 30 years.

As mentioned, you are 43 years old, so, you can not appear in either of examinations.
