I'm studying B.Tech and I want to write UPSC Civil Services exam. What is minimum percentage required for UPSC exam for B.Tech students? And, is UPSC and IAS exams same?

--- No minimum % is mentioned anywhere in the UPSC Civil Services notification.
It means that the candidates who have only 33% or the passing % in the degree examination are also eligible to apply in the UPSC Civil Services (IAS) exam.

Civil Service Examination is conducted by UPSC.

The eligiblility to appear in the examination is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree from a recognised university with minimum qualifying marks in any discipline.

The age limit is 21-32 years as on 01st August of year of appearing in the examination.

Final year candidates are also eligible to apply for the examination.

Examination is conducted in three stages. You have to appear and qualify in all the three stages for final selection.

To be an Indian Administrative Service (IFS) officer, you are required to qualify the Civil Services examination held once every year by UPSC and therefore you can say that UPSC Civil Services examination is same as the IAS examination.

The minimum education required to apply for the Civil Services examination is a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university. Students pursuing final year of their degree course are also eligible.

Now, as far as you are concerned about the minimum marks required in bachelor's degree (i.e; B.Tech. degree in your case) to be eligible for becoming an IAS officer i.e; for appearing in the Civil Services examination then there is no such requirement at any stage of academics and therefore a degree holder in any discipline with whatever percentage of marks are eligible to apply for the Civil Services examination as far as the educational requirement for the same is concerned.
