Re: Which are the centers in Mumbai for centralized admission process for B.E? When does it start?

Government of Maharashtra introduced the scheme of online admission to FYJC classes in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) in 2009 to provide an opportunity to students to apply for multiple colleges through a single application.

It is compulsory for students who have passed the SSC exam (or equivalent examination) from any recognized board to apply for online admission process to get admissions to FYJC classes in any of the junior colleges in MMR. The online admissions website will likely be open for students to practice filling the forms online from May 16th 2011.

This online process is applicable for Admissions to Arts, Science, and Commerce junior colleges (General and Bifocal). However, admissions will not be done online for:
1. Admissions to HSC vocational (MCVC), Home Science, Management quota, Minority quota, & In-house quota shall be done by the Principals of the respective Junior Colleges.
2. Admissions to Technical Junior Colleges shall be done by the Principals of the respective Technical Junior Colleges.
3. Admissions to Night Junior Colleges shall be done by the Principals of the respective Night Junior Colleges.

This year, the online admissions system introduced for junior colleges in Maharashtra will be applicable for only 45% of the seats. The rest come under religious, community, linguistic and management quotas and will be filled as per the previous system of standing in a queue to get a form at the desired college.

This is the breakup for the seats, which totally are 2,65, 052. Online seats are 1,54, 479 and offline seats are 1,10, 573.
* General category: 54, 068
* SC/ST category category: 30, 895
* OBC/ SBC category: 32, 441
* Arts category: 3, 090
* Sports category: 4, 634
* Handicapped category: 4, 634
* Offline in-house category: 32, 346
* Nomadic Tribes category: 16, 993
* Minority (offline) category: 64, 835
* Management (offline) category: 13, 392
* Services / Freedom fighters category: 7, 724

2011 FYJC online admissions processing fees: There is a processing fee of Rs.150/- which has to be paid by the student at his school/guidance center. In case the student fails at the std. X examination of March 2011, he/she can get a refund of Rs. 125/ - after deducting Rs.25/- towards the cost of this booklet from the Head of the school.

Q. In the first video one thing is wrong i.e. Atomic radius of Neon Is bigger than flourine . I have read this in a book. Please also tell me why Atomic radius of Neon Is bigger than flourine.
Ans. The atomic radii of noble gases are by far the largest in their respective periods.this is due to the reason that noble gases have only van der Waals radii as it does not form molecules while...

Re: Which are the centers in Mumbai for centralized admission process for B.E? When does it start?

 A relation R from a set A to a set B is a subset of A  B obtained by describing a
relationship between the first element a and the second element b of the ordered
pairs in A  B. That is, R  {(a, b)  A  B, a  A, b  B}
 The domain of a relation R from set A to set B is the set of all first elements of
the ordered pairs in R.
 The range of a relation R from set A to set B is the set of all second elements of
the ordered pairs in R. The whole set B is called the co-domain of R. Range 
Co-domain
 A relation R in a set A is called an empty relation, if no element of A is related to
any element of A. In this case, R =   A  A
Example: Consider a relation R in set A = {3, 4, 5} given by R = {(a, b): a
b
<
25, where a, b A}. It can be observed that no pair (a, b) satisfies this condition.
Therefore, R is an empty relation.
 A relation R in a set A is called a universal relation, if each element of A is related
to every element of A. In this case, R = A  A
Example: Consider a relation R in the set A = {1, 3, 5, 7, 9} given by R = {(a,
b): a + b is an even number}.
Here, we may observe that all pairs (a, b) satisfy the condition R. Therefore, R is
a universal relation.
 Both the empty and the universal relation are called trivial relations.
 A relation R in a set A is called reflexive, if (a, a)  R for every a  R.
Example: Consider a relation R in the set A, where A = {2, 3, 4}, given by R =
{(a, b): a
b
= 4, 27 or 256}. Here, we may observe that R = {(2, 2), (3, 3), and
(4, 4)}. Since each element of R is related to itself (2 is related 2, 3 is related to
3, and 4 is related to 4), R is a reflexive relation.
 A relation R in a set A is called symmetric, if (a1
, a2
)  R  (a2
, a1
)  R,  a1
,
a2  R
Example: Consider a relation R in the set A, where A is the set of natural
numbers, given by R = {(a, b): 2 ≤ ab < 20}. Here, it can be observed that (b,
a)  R since 2 ≤ ba < 20 [since for natural numbers a and b, ab = ba]
Therefore, the relation R is symmetric.
 A relation R in a set A is called transitive, if (a1
, a2
)  R and (a2
, a3
)  R  (a1
,
a3
)  R for all a1
, a2
, a3  A
Example: Let us consider a relation R in the set of all subsets with respect to a

Re: Which are the centers in Mumbai for centralized admission process for B.E? When does it start?

Let f: R → R be a function defined by f (x) = 2x + 3. Find a function g: R → R satisfying the condition gof = fog = IR.
Solution:
f: R → R is defined by f (x) = 2x + 3.

Let y be an arbitrary element in co-domain of this function.

I.e., y ∈ R

∴ y = 2x + 3 for some x ∈ R.

Define g: R → R by .

Thus, the required function g: R → R isdefined by.
