Dear friend you can apply for NDA and TES exam to join Indian air force you apply for these exams well i am telling you the full detail about this exam NDA minimum qualification is passed out or pursuing 12 class age limit is 16.5 to 19 years only for male marital status is unmarried Nationality is Indian. TES minimum qualification is passed out 12 class with 75% marks in PCM(science stream) age limit is 17 to 19.5 years only for male marital status is unmarried Nationality is Indian. best of luck |

Re: Which Entrance Exams I have to appear for to join Air Force? To Join Air force course then you need to appear for entrance exams like NDA,CDS and Other exams.  N.D.A (National Defence Academy) :-
C.D.S (Combined Defence Service) :-
For AFCAT examination consist of ground duty Branch,Flying Branch,Technical Branch. Flying branch : B.E/B.Tech degree or graduate degree from any recognized university or equivalent qualification. Technical branch : Aeronautical Engineering from any recognized university. Ground Duty : PG Degree/Graduate degree from any recognized University. |

If you ask me i would say that you can write the NDA,CDS or AFCAT entrance exam to join in Air force. NDA - National Defence Academy: NDA is a defence service exam and this exam is conducted by UPSC every year and is held 2 times. Only unmarried male candidate are eligible for this exam and they must be a citizen of India. The candidates must have a age limit of 16 1/2-19 years and for joining in Indian Air force you must have completed +2 from a recognized board with physics and mathematics as subjects. CDS - Common Defence Service CDS is also a defence service exam and this exam is also conducted by UPSC and it is held 2 times in a year. As like NDA only unmarried male candidates are eligible for the exam and must be a citizen of India. The candidates who want to join in Indian Air force must have a age limit of 19-23 years and must have completed their +2 with physics and maths or a B.E degree is needed. AFCAT - Air Force Common Admission Test There are 3 branches namely:
Ground Duty: The candidates must have a age limit of 20-27 years of age. The candidates must have done their UG or PG in any discipline with 60% aggregate. Flying Branch The candidates must have a age limit of 19-23 years of age. The candidates must have done their B.E/B.Tech or any degree and must have 60% aggregate. Technical Branch The candidates must have a age limit of 18-28 years of age. The candidates who have done their degree in Aeronautical Engineering are eligible. All the best. |

Re: Which Entrance Exams I have to appear for to join Air Force? hi dear Now you are now 2nd year B.TECH. there is lot of study ahead now,but you mindly prepare you have to join AIR FORCE,For this entry you give the entrance exam or interview like:- CDS(Combined Defense Service) UES(University Entry Scheme) For this entry your age:-21 to 27 years age relaxation as per government rules but dear you prepare from now that is easy for you for that time entrance exam So Books are:-

Re: Which Entrance Exams I have to appear for to join Air Force? Any entrance exam to utilize first year B.tech in Air force ? I hope you mean to say about the advantages of your aggregate which you have secured in the first year of the B.Tech course to join in IAF. Sorry, there are no advantages given based on your first year marks.If you want to enter the flying branch of IAF then you need to go through the CDS exam conducted by the UPSC Board.This exam doesn't consider marks but you just have to be a passed out from a recognized University. After completed your Engineering you can even apply for the Technical Branch of Engineering course.In technical branch you have Aeronautical(Electronic) and Aeronautical(Mechanical).Since your a mechanical student hence you can even apply for the Technical Branch.
