Re: Can females apply for NDS services? Sorry to say but girls are not allowed for the NDA exam. But you can join the defence academy after your graduation through CDSE exam of UPSC. This exam conducts twice a year. Eligiblity for this exam:- Candidates must have a valuable graduate certificate from a recognised university. Age must be between 19- 25. You can join the defence academy through SSC and NCC but after the graduation. These exam conducts twice a year. For more details go here-http://joinindianarmy.nic.in/ |

Hello, No females are not eligible to write NDA(National Defence Academy) exam Eligibility: * You should be citizen of India. * You should have age limit between 16.5 to 19 years. * You should be an unmarried male candidates to appear for exam. * You should get 12th graduation from a recognized institute with maths as subject. The primary criteria's framed by NDA(National Defence Academy) which the candidates must fulfill are: ->Candidates who are appearing must be a citizen of India. ->Candidates must be a unmarried male candidates. ->Candidates must have a age limit of 16 1/2-19 years of age. ->Candidates who are wishing to apply for this exam must have passed +2 from a recognized board and for joining in Indian Navy and Air force,the candidates must have passed +2 from a recognized board with physics and mathematics as subjects. The above listed are the main criteria's which you must possess but you are not satisfying the 2nd criteria so you are not eligible for the NDA exam. |

Re: Can females apply for NDS services? First of all I would appreciate being a girl candidate you want to join the defense academy . But unfortunately NDA exam is conducted only for male candidates. However you can join the defense through through CDSE or UPSC exam.You can get the detailed information from the site listed below. http://www.upsc.gov.in |

This N.D.A Services only for Unmarried male candidates. The candidate age should between 16.5 years to 19 years of age. So,you are not eligible to apply for N.D.A Services. If you are interested in defence services then apply for the C.D.S Officer Training Academy examination.This examination only for Unmarried female candidates. So you should have a graduate degree in any discipline to apply for this examination.There is no minimum marks required for this examination. And your age should between 19 years to 23 years and candidates who are appearing in the final year of examination can also apply for this examination. Besides this girls can join armed forces only after completing their graduation through the following entry points: 1. CDSE- this is combined defense service examination. girls can apply for this after completing their graduation. 2. Direct Entry Scheme- In this the Male and Female candidates can apply in defense services directly as engineers after completing their 4 years degree from a recognised university, they have to face an interview. 3. UES- This is university entry scheme, through this both the male and female candidates can join armed forces. In this the armed personnel recruits candidates through campus interview and group discussions. all the best |

Re: Can females apply for NDS services? Only unmarried male candidate,whose age is between 16 1/2 to 19 year and completed 12th class with PCM stream. If you are that much interest,then you can join in Indian Defense after your graduation course by appearing CDS exam.This exam is conducted by upsc every year. For more details,see this two attachment,one is about CDS exam,and another is NDA exam. |

If you are Interested to Join defense then you have to completed your Graduate degree course and apply for CDS (Combined defense services examination). The examination was Conducted By UPSC Every year Two times and Graduation is the Minimum eligibility to apply for this examination. So, After Graduation You are eligible for OTA (Officers Training Academy), And to apply for this examination you need to complete your Bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognised university and your age should between 19 to 25 years. Girls are also enter in Defense by UES (University Entry Scheme), and Graduation is the Minimum eligibility criteria for UES and you must have scored minimum 60% marks in your graduation and your age should between 18 to 24 years. So Please complete your graduation and then you can join Defense services. The Notification of CDS Examinations are Published in the employment newspaper OR in the UPSC Official Website, So please check the UPSC website to get the Information about Next year examination Because the schedule are availiable in the Official Website - http://upsc.gov.in |
