CDS : Combined Defense Services

for this entrance exam only for some jobs Unmarried Male candidates for some Jobs Married/Unmarried Male candidates are only eligible.

Actually combine defense services exam is conducted for recruitment's in Naval,Airforce,Military services

so for IMA Unmarried Male candidates are eligible
for Naval Academy Unmarried Male candidates are eligible
for Airforce academy Married/unmarried male candidates are eligible.

This is all about CDS eligibility I have said all these because as of from your name I drawn that you are a Female so if you are really so then you are not eligible for CDS examination.

SSC : Short service Commission.
or another is there

SSC : staff selection committee

I think you are looking for Short service commission
if so in Defense services there are two types of Commissions they are permanent commissioned jobs
and
short service Commissioned jobs.

permanent service commission job will give you a permanent job
whereas
short service commissioned job will give you only a particular tenure.

after that you have to increase that period by writing a few entrance exams or in that way you have to continue.

if you are search is for Staff selection committee
you are perfectly eligible for the examination.
the minimum eligibility is to get a bachelors degree from a recognized university.
