hello Friend,,

The entire syllabus:

1.Tier I - Preliminary Examination : Time 2 Hours

•Candidates have to appear in objective type examination conducted by the bank.
•Examination will consist of:

i.Reasoning Ability Test
ii.Quantitative Aptitude
iii.General Awareness/Computer Knowledge
iv.English Language

2.Tier II - Main Test : Time 3 Hours

•This will be an Objective and Descriptive type examination
•The objective type examination of 2 hours duration will consist of :

i.Test of Reasoning
ii.Data Analysis and Interpretation
iii.Marketing Knowledge
iv.Test of English Language

•The Descriptive type examination will be a test of English knowledge that has to be done in 1 hour.

3.Tier III - Group Discussion & Interview :

•Selected candidates from Tier I and II are called for Personal Interview and Group Discussion conducted by the respective Bank.

Education Qualification :


you should be qualified in under graduation course with 60% percentage of marks . if your belonging form sc/st candidate then the relaxation is 55% percentage of marks . first preference is given to commerce stream candidates .

Age Limit :


you age should be 21 to 30 years and the relaxation period is given to sc/st candidates for 5 years and the obc candidates for 3 years and handicapped candidates for 10 years ,

Bank examination is divided into three levels namely .


>>Written test

>>Group discussion

>>Interview .

Most famous exam is Bank Probationary officer examination in now a days.

To apply for bank po examination then you should have a graduate degree from a recognized university.

Bank Probationary examination consist of written,group discussion as well as interview.

Written examination consist of objective and descriptive type questions.

Objective type questions :-
  • Test of English Language
  • Test of General Awareness,Marketing & Computer science
  • Test of Data Analysis & Interpretation
  • Test of Reasoning(high level)
Descriptive type questions :-

If you are Interested to apply for Bank examination then please dont worry, Because here i am Providing you the Pattern of Bank PO Examination. The Pattern of all the Banks was almost same OR vary form Bank To Bank.

In Bank PO Examination, the question are asked form Test of English Language (Grammer, Vocabulary, Comprehension) Test of General Awareness, Marketing & Computers, Test of Data Analysis & Interpretation and Test of Reasoning (High Level).

The Bank PO written exam mainly has 5 areas..:-

1) Reasoning - Max no of questions=50,
Max marks=50

2) English -Max no of questions=50
Max marks=25

3) Quantitative aptitude - Max no of questions=50
Max marks=50

4) General awareness - Max no of questions=50
Max marks =50

5) Computer Knowledge - Max no of questions=50
Max marks = 50

Time alloted to all these 5 categories =150 min


But according to the common written exam(CWE ) which is being conducted on 18th Sep 2011 for the 1st time, an additional paper has been introduced ie, Descriptive paper on english composition(essay,letter writing) which carries 25 marks..and time alloted for this paper is 60 min...
