Okay you will get such high packages when you will be in a very high post of Indian army, Indian Navy, chairman/president of a high profile company, in any research field,in space organization or work outside India where people are highly paid....

so in my opinion you can take science or commerce...

both the stream will pay you high packages.

but remember one thing, money is not everything.

you have to work hard, very hard to reach that position.

If you run for money it will become more hard, but if you run for knowledge and excellence then it will become easier for you.

as a cse student you can try for any government company with 60% aggregate..
addition to that you can try for Miscrosot,google,oracle yahoo
but for above mentioned software companies you should need certifications like

OCJP(java)
CCNA(networking)
DB2 Express(database).

As you have not mentioned your percentages .If you have more than 605 in graduation then you are eligible for the Govt exams like -
ISRO
BHEL
SAIL
Railway
Banking sectors
ECIL
EIL
DVC
Indian Army
Indian Naval academy

Other than that you can also go for UPSC exam .

Dear,
It is good move to prepare for PSUs or IES just after B.Tech.

For organization that conducts test are given below:
•-> DRDO
•-> BHEL
•-> BEL
•-> BSNL
•-> ISRO

Apart from these exams you should also give IES.
If you are interested to be a part of administrative services then you can take civil services examination.

You are eligible for most of the exam because you have completed your graduation and eligibility for most of the test is graduation only.

you can apply in IT companies like TCS,wipro,HCL
all these IT companies requried large no of freshers.

You can apply for Software companies like TCS,CTS etc or you can sit for the bank exams,IBPS,CSE(Civil Service Examination) etc.If next time you mention your point of interest it will be easy for us to help you,

Being a computer science engineer you can apply for following jobs.
ISRO (Scientist 'SC' post)
DRDO
Bharat Electronics Limted

You can apply for the above mentioned companies, during your final year of B.Tech.
After having passed B.Tech. you can apply for many more companies like;
BHEL
ONGC
SAIL

Also, you can apply for Engineering Services examination cobducted by UPSC.
