CDS exam will let you eligible for Army ,NAvy and Indian Air Force too. As soon as you clear CDS exam, the ball is in your court to decide for which defese force you wanna join. You call SSB call from all three or from one or two dependeing upon marks in CDS exam. Age Limits, Sex and Marital Status for CDS 2012-I: i. For IMA-Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1988 and not later than 1st January, 1994 only are eligible. ii. For Naval Academy-Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1991 ( 2nd January, 1989 in case of NCC Naval Wing ‘C’ Certificate holders ) and not later than 1st January, 1994 only are eligible. iii. For Air Force Academy-Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1990 and not later than 1st January, 1994 only are eligible. |

Is the CDS and AFCAT are seperate entries to join air force or we have only AFCAT? and is it compulsary to be agradute with aeronautical engg... to join in technical entry with age criteria 18-28 yrs or ec students are also eligible??? |

As you have mentioned that you have one backlog in B,tech 1st semester, then you are not eligible for CDS or AFCAT exam.. If you want to appear in any of these exam then you have to clear the pending backlog first.. Otherwise you will not be eligible to appear for any exam.. so, clear the backlog as quick as possible.. After clearing the backlog you can appear in those exams.. |

You need to clear your backlog as you need to give your passing certificate either during exam or interview. So, better you clear your backlog first. Eligiblity for AFCAT is 60% in graduation..level...... Syllabus of AFCAT:--
FOR CDS you have to be 19 half to 23 half years of age and must have passed graduation. Candidates who are studying in the final year Degree course and have yet to pass the final year degree examination can also apply but they will be required to submit proof of passing the degree examination to reach the Army HQ/Rtg. |
