I.P.S is Indian Police Services

I.P.S. exam is also called as civil Services exam.

CIVIL SERVICES EXAM


Civil Services exam is conducted for many post like:-
> Indian Administrative Services
> Indian Police Services
> Indian Forign Services
> Indian Revenue Services

After graduation you can apply for I.A.S exam.
I.A.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C once in a year.

Age should be in between 21-30 year.
For ST/SC candidate age should be in between 21-33 year.

There are three stage of selection:-
> Prelims Exam
> Mains Exam
> Interview
> Medical Exam(For I.P.S)

You can apply online or offline.
The Form cost is just 20 Rs.

Hi Friend........

The IPS posts are filled by the Civil Services Examination which is conducted by Union Public Service Commission in yearly ones.

This Exam has 3 main steps, namely the preliminary exam, the mains exam and the interview.

After clearing the Preliminary exam, you will have to appear for the mains exam and the interview

The rank list will be based on the aggregate marks scored by the candidates in the exam.

And then after final selection you are awarded the posts of your choice and according to your rank.

So, to become an IPS Officer you will have to go through these stages.

Eligibility Criteria for Civil Service Examination :

Candidates must have a bachelor of degree in any stream from any recognized university

Final year students also eligible for this examination

There no percentage required for this examination

Candidates age should between 21 to 30 years for general candidates, 5 years relaxation for SC/ST candidates, 3 years relaxation for OBC candidates

Candidates should be a citizen of India.

The qualifications for appearing in IPS exam is that you must be a graduate in any field from any recognised university.
You must be Indian citizen.
You must be minimum 21 years of age.
The upper age limit is 30 years for general category, 33 years for OBC and 35 years for SC/ST.
Maximum number of attempts within age limit is 4 for general category, 7 for OBC and no limit for SC/ST.

IPS- Indian Police Service, to become an IPS officer one has to crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC every year.

Qualification for IPS Civil Service Exam:-

-The candidate must be an Indian National
-Should have either appeared for the final Graduation Degree exam or passed in any stream of education from a recognised University.
-Should be within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate
-Should have possessed good Physical and Mental health
-Height should be 165cm for General Male and should be 150cm for General Female while it should be 160cm for SC/ST Male and should be 145cm for SC/ST Female candidate.
-Chest should be 85cm for Male and 79cm for Female candidate expandable to 5cm in both the cases.

Indian Police Service (IPS) is very important to maintain law and order as well for the security of the country. IPS officers play active role in anti terrorism operations, controlling riots, VIP security, smuggling and cross border infiltration.


You will have to appear for Civil Service Examination to become IPS officer. The exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. The notification is issued in Nov/Dec while exam takes place next year in May.


Eligibility

1. You should be of Indian origin.

2. A graduation degree in any stream.

3. Age limit as per August 1 of examination year is 21 to 30 year.

4. There is 3 years relaxation for Other Backward Class.

5. SC/ST are eligible to get relaxation of 5 years.



Physical Requirements


Considering the role of IPS officer, it is important that you maintain a physical criteria to be considered. The physical requirements are necessary to be met by both male and female candidates.


Height

Male: 165 cm (General) and 160 cm for (ST)

Female: Minimum of 150 cm (General) while 145 for (ST)



Chest

Male Minimum 84 cm. Expansion 5 cm

Female Min 79 cm expansion 5 cm



Vision

6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye

for appear in thisa exam you must have to complete your graduation in any stream from a recognized college.
the age limit-
the age limit exist for this exam is 21-30,.
there are 5& 3 years of age rel;axations are applicable for SC\ST & OBC candidates respectively.

this exam contain three stages-

2. MAINS
3. INTERVIEW

Educational eligibility :

Bachelor`s degree of a recognized university with at least one of the subjects namely animal usbandary and veternary science ,botany ,chemistry,geology ,maths,physics.stats and zoology or a bachelor degree in agriculture //forestry /engg/or any other equivalengt qualification.

To join the Indian Police Service, you will have to crack civil service exam conducted by UPSC.
The examination is conducted every year.

To be eligible for the exam,
You must hold a bachelors degree
You must be within the age limit of 21-30 years.


The maximum age limit is relaxed upto 3 years for candidates belonging to OBC category and 5 years for candidates belonging to SC/ST category.

IPS stands for Indian Police Service and IPS is a civil service exam conducted by UPSC
every year.
Eligibility criteria for IPS entrance exam are as follows :-
1]A candidate should be graduate in any discipline from recognized university.
2]A candidate should be passed his graduation with minimum 50 % .
3]A candidate should be citizen of India .
4]Age limit between 21 to 30 years for open category.
5] For OBC candidate age relaxation is of 3 years .
6]For SC/ST candidate age relaxation is of 5 years .
