hi dear,

Indian police Services. IPS Job is the most prestigious and to say frankly its the most powerful jobs in the society.

As the position of IPS officer is very interesting and very sweet to enjoy. and along with doing service to your mother land . For this reason only.

Competition for this is very high . Most of the young Indians who want to fight for the country to make it the best living place aspire to become IPS officer and select their platform as this job.

So the competition among our own indians for this job is very high.

the procedure to get the position as IPS officer is as follows.

->you have to complete your degree in the format of 10+2/3+3/4

->there is no compulsion about the stream you can do any degree with interested stream its all up to you.

->You should also obtain 21 years of age to get the mental and physical abilities to take the challenges during the exam. If you get 21 years of minimum age only you are called to be eligible for the Civil Service Exam.

->I think you have Idea about the pattern of the Civil Service examination and selection if not, just follow the next few lines to get some idea about the same.

->UPSC civil service exam is a three level pattern exam procedure.

level 1 is Civil service Aptitude test.

Level 2 is mains examination.

Level 3 is Personal Interview and assessment round.

all these are the filtering stages of the heavy competition and they will select the candidates who are worth of being as Civil servants.

all these levels are common for IAS aspirants,IPS aspirants and IFS aspirants not only these but also 20 other services which are offered after clearing Civil service exam.

The syllabus for CSAT is common for all the students.

the syllabus for Mains depends on your choice of Optional subjects.

The syllabus for P.I is very general and with minimal preparation you can cross that hurdle.

after clearing all the three stages you will be given an option to select the desired choice of services in this you have to keep top preference as IPS if your rank permits that service then you will be offered that service.

this is how a aspirant of IPS will become a true IPS officer.

all the best for everything.
