Gate is for pursuing m. tech. For that you need a good command on some of your b. tech subjects which have good weightage in gate exam. for prepration try solving sample papers if can study by yourself and if not take coaching from somewhre so that you can come to know the tricks of solning questions in short duration. And it is possible to pursue M. tech in some other field than your B. Tech one. You Can do It By corresspondance too. Then it will take 3 years , during that tym you van apply for job on the basis of your b. tech degree else it is of 2 years. |

Definitely you can change your stream in Post graduation,though your have complete graduation degree in another stream.But this will be happen when you will get good rank,then you will have chance to change to another stream. To crack this entrance exam,you should work hard nearly 10-12 hours daily on gate syllabus.And mainly you should concentrate on the topic of which asking the question frequently. Important dates for Gate-2012: Last date to apply the application for is 17th Oct 2011. Exam will held on 29th Jan 2012. To apply the application form online,then click here (Between the date as mentioned above) If you qualify in this exam,then you can apply for some of the colleges,that you wish you will get admission in that colleges.They will call your interview,if you able to satisfy the interviewer,then you will get admission in that college. What for this exam?? This exam is for higher studies after your B.Tech i.e., to do M.Tech in India from premier Institutes like IIT's and NIT's. GATE entrance exam is the gate way that you have to clear this exam with top rank so that you can make your entry to those institutes. Who are eligible for this exam?? Every B.Tech completed student and the students of their B.Tech final year are eligible to get enrolled for the GATE examination. when to write this exam?? you can write this examination after getting enrolled for the examination to get enrolled for the exam after a Official Notification. At present for the year 2012 the Notification is released only B.Tech Final year and B.Tech past pass outs are eligible to write this. Is the GATE entrance exam tough?? yeah to say frankly its tough because of high competition for limited seats in IIT's and NIT's. Can a Average student like me will be able to crack this exam ?? Yeah for sure.! with the right planning and guidance no body are exception for the success. Is the preparation time will be very tough?? For a sweet fruit like getting seat is IIT college, you have to initially work very hard. Can I prepare it from now, as there is less time?? yes but you have to leave every other thing and sit completely on the preparation of the entrance examination. What is the admission process? sir i want to know everything which is related to gate examination like how to prepair ,entry ,admisson process, and if a student doing b.tech from a branch and not doing the m.tech from that branch then that is possible or not . sir please give the response i am waiting my mail id is [email protected] |
