Re: Can I join IAF after passing intermediate with 48%? dear friend, Civil Services Examination is the most prestigious examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment to various All India Services including I.A.S., I.P.S., I.F.S.,I.R.S., and various Group A Services and Group B Services. Normally applications are invited by UPSC notifications in leading News Papers during December every year. The Civil Services Examination consists of three stages : 1. Civil Services Preliminary Examination ( Objective Type) (Usually conducted in May) 2. Civil Services Main Examination (Written) (Conducted during October/November) 3. Interview and final Selection (During April/May) Hi IFS (Indian Forest Service ) 1. Minimum Educational Qualification : Degree of any recognized university. However candidates studying in final year examination may apply for Preliminary. When he applies for Main Examination, he shall be a Graduate. But the following Engineering discipline are eligible :- * Civil Engineering, * Mechanical Engineering, * Bio Technology, * Electrical Engineering, * Physics * Chemistry * Statics * Geology etc. So you are very much eligible for I.F.S. in U.P.S.C. For this you have to prepare right now.Here I have also mentioned about the age limit and number of attempts of the examination. 2. Age Limit : * Minimum Age :- 21 as on 1st August during which they will write Exam. * Maximum Age: 30 for GEN, 33 for OBC and 35 for SC. 3. Number of attempts : * General Candidates -> 4 * OBC -> 7 * SC/ST -> No Limit all the best. |

And also i want to say that what % i take in my 12th class. Thank you sir. |

Re: Can I join IAF after passing intermediate with 48%? Its great opportunity to you to serve for your own country,if you have the caliber you must join the Indian Army. There are some selection procedure such as: Combined Defense Services (CDS) Exam is generally conducted twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) to recruit the Indian Military Academy(IMA), Officers Training Academy(OTA), Naval Academy and Air Force Academy(AFA) According to the Eligibility Criteria: Flying branch as pilot will be selected through Short Service Commission for men & women Age: i)19 to 23 years ii)19 to 25 years for CPL Holders which is issued by DGCA ,India. Upper age limit is relaxed up to 25 years. Marital Status: You have to be Single. Nationality: You have to be Indian Gender: Men and women can apply for the examination. Educational Qualifications 1:You have to be Graduate of 3 years course in any discipline from a recognised university with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together and have Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level. or You should have a degree of BE / B Tech of 4 years course from a recognized university with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together. 2. Final year students can also apply,having no backlog and minimum 60 % aggregate marks in the previous year's semesters. Re: Can I join IAF after passing intermediate with 48%? dear friend, To join in IAF you have to appear in NDA exam after completion of 12th in science with physics and maths.. You must have secured 60% marks in 12th, to appear in NDA exam. As you have secured 48% marks in 12th then you are not eligible for NDA exam... All the best. |

Re: Can I join IAF after passing intermediate with 48%? hello dear No.join IAF after passing intermediate with 48%. you have do minimum 12th pass. then you will be eligiable for NDA exam.through NDA exam you can join in the IAF. other criteria which are required for the NDA exam >>12th with science with PCM combination. >>minimum 60% marks in class 12th exam. >>age limit 16.5-19 years. >>minimum height 165cm. if you have the following criteria then you can appear in the UPSC-NDA exam. all the best.............. |

You can attend the NDA examination conducted for entry into either Indian Army, Indian Air Force and Indian Navy.Based on the your preference you can select your own options. The eligibility conditions for NDA examination are mentioned below:- Age group:-Candidates between the age group of 16 and 1/2-19 can apply for the examination. Educational Qualifications:-(i) For Army wing of National Defence Academy :- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University. (ii) For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy :- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equilvalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University. With 10+2 qualification you can only go through this examination in the Air Force stream.If you want to attend more examinations to gain entry into IAF then it's better that you go through B.tech stream and NCC simultaneously so that you can attend most of the exams.If your able to complete your graduation with more than 60% then you can attend exams like CDS , NCC Entry, Short Service Commission ,.etc. For more details please refer http://www.careerairforce.nic.in |
