Dear friend, If you have interest in that course then go for it because every course is best but condition is that students study that course with very interest way. Scope of B.tech (Electrical Engineering): Electrical Engineers are needed in all manufacturing units. All major companies of public and private sector such as Electricity Boards, Large Scale Industries, Manufacturing Plants, Power Corporations, Hydro-Electricity sector are continuously in need of Electrical Engineers for their projects. Electrical Engineers also find job prospects in Design Industries, Production plants, Natural gas plants, Petroleum as well as in steel and chemical plants. Many premier Educational and Research Institutions regularly intake electrical engineers as graduate Engineer trainees and Management Trainees to work on research projects. Electrical Engineers can also get a job in Major players in Public Sector such as Indian Railways, Armed forces (Technical Branch) and also in Thermal and Nuclear power Corporation Limited. Hi Engineering is the branch of Science which deals with the research and development of various types of Technologies like Electrical, Electronics, Computers, IT, Civil etc. Electrical Engineering is one of the top branches and it deals with the study of motors, Transmission lines, Cables, Antenna, Electric Machines, etc.. Thus since it is also one of the oldest branches of Engineering in the world, its deemed to have its importance ever and also know as Ever Green Branch. Now coming to your query, is Electrical Engineering good. I would say, every study has a field in which it is required. So no study/course is useless. This world needs every one. Neither only Engineers nor doctors could do it all. We would always need a writer to write articles in news papers, a journalist, an actor, a photographer, an artist, singer, dancer, scientist, economist, teachers, accountants etc. And of course Engineers and Doctors. I wrote this only to tell that sure you can go for Electrical Engineering. It would definitely fetch you work if you do it honestly and with sincerity. There are some good colleges which would should prefer for getting admissions into. Some of them are : IIT's, NIT's, Jadavpur University in the government colleges. For privates BITS, SRM, Jaypee, etc are the best. You have to attempt some of the Entrances also before you can get admission in any of these. Some of the top entrances are : IIT JEE, AIEEE, DCE CEE, BITSAT, SRMEEE, IP, UPTU etc... Hope this helps All the best. |

You have a wish to become a I.T (Information Technology) engineer but you want to become Electrical Engineering and also want the details about Electrical Engineering, I don't think why you are doing this ? Have you seen the movie "3 Idiots". If not please watch the movie. You may become as you wish. So, after completion of engineering in electrical stream you can get a job in core technical field.. Also now a days IT companies are hiring electrical stream students.. So, definitely you will have lots job opportunity.. In core technical field you can apply for the jobs in PSU's like- 1.NTPC 2.ONGC 3.BHEL 4.SAIL 5.GAIL 6.BEL 7.Power Grid 8.Railways 9.IOCL 10.NHPC etc.. In software sector you can apply for jobs in MNC's like- 1.TCS 2.CTS 3.INFOSYS 4.WIPRO 5.IBM 6.ACCENTURE 7.CAPE GEMINI etc.. Also you can apply for UPSC conducted civil service exams like-IES, IAS, IPS , IFS etc.. You just get prepare for these jobs.. All the best.. |

What are my job prospects in field of electrical engineering? I want to know if there is any short term course related to electrical engineering that will help me to build my career (other than M.tech) ? |

They are required by the industries manufacturing , all household and office apliances like refrigerators, computer etc. . In our age of satellite transmitted television and transcontinental computer networks, these are high in demand... In atomic power plants and thermal power plants, electrical engineers are preferred.. If you want to build a career in electrical engineering , you can get many jobs and bright future. |

Hello BHASA ,yes ,to be an electrical engineer is a very good choice.you can earn name ,fame,money and a lot of things in this field.This field is right for you, it is difficult to tell you,because i think you have the answer of this question.Ask to your heart that you really want to be an engineer,if yes then really with electrical thread .It is very important that you have appropriate knowledge about your field ,one thing is the most important,you should fully interested about your field. Are you always ready to repair any damage electrical item,do try to repair any electrical item.unless you do so or not.can success to place your all work in one side and your field passion in other side.If the answer of all the question arises above is in YES then to be an electrical engineer is really very right field for you.There is a very bright future in this field,there is also good placement in this field.you should try to collect more and more knowledge about this field ,to do so you can get better placement among-est average student.It is good if you have little knowledge about computer languages.good luck . thank you. |
