Re: NIT pune after diploma in IT? Hi, Since,presently you are persuing your Diploma engineering (IT),I guess you want to take admission in B.tech in NIT,Pune. For persuing B.tech from NIT,Pune you ave to appear for AIEEE.After completion of your Diploma or you can also appear for it,when you will be in your final semester.You have to score atleast 50% in your diploma including all semesters.Also your age must not be greater then 25 years.You can appear for AIEEE,thrice in a consecutive years. For example- If you are appearing for AIEEE first time in 2011,then you can also appear for it in 2012 and 2013. For getting into NIT,pune you have to crack AIEEE with a good rank.Probably you have to score atleast within 37,000 (AIR) for getting into B.tech (IT). Best of luck |

Re: NIT pune after diploma in IT? basically,these are mechanical subjects,they normally in course,dont have much utility. but,if you you want to work in mechatronics section of core sector with the help of it,you will find nit pune useful. |

Re: NIT pune after diploma in IT? Dear friend after completing the diploma again you will have to sit for the AIEEE exam.. And then you will have to take admission in the 1 st year if you scored good rank. There is no lateral entry provision in the NIT's.All the best. |

Re: NIT pune after diploma in IT? dear friend the only thing you required to do is fill up the application form of aieee. then go through the 11th and 12th standard syllabus. if you score high then only you will get the admission in nit pune. all the best. |

For IIT:you have to appear for IITJEE,but problem is that you have passed your diploma in 2009 and according to eligibility criteria of IITJEE a candidate can appear for two times in a consecutive years first when you are appearing for your finals and second time just next year of passing that is 2010.So,you have lost your attempts for IITJEE. For AIEEE:you have to appear for AIEEE,and according to the eligibility criteria of AIEEE,a candidate can appear for it 3 times in a consecutive years.If you have passed your diploma in 2009,then your first attempt was at that time,the next attempt was in 2010,you have missed both and now you have only 1 chance for the year 2011. Also you have to crack AIEEE with good rank for getting into NIT's at least with in 37,000 AIR. So,prepare well and dont loss your this last chance. Best of Luck

Re: NIT pune after diploma in IT? Yes you can get there but faiyaz did not mention that you will admitted to 1st year not second year. Its like that NITs and IITs dont consider direct second year admission (lateral entry) while most of the colleges consider it. So NIT pune takes through AIEEE, and you can get into it but you wont get direct admission to second year. So think about it. |

Re: NIT pune after diploma in IT? Hi , to take admission in NIT you must have in third year of diploma or passed out and you have to clear the AIEEE of the desired year and then after pass you can get here admission ,also you must have minimum of 60% marks in the qualifying exam. |
