MASTER OF COMPUTER APPLICATION OR MCA is one of the most sought of competitive IT Courses & considered preeminent courses . As you know this course s all about development of Computer Applications for the purpose of updating Computer Program language .

So friend ,coming to your query i.e whether to join private sector or Government Sector , so its totally dependent on you as you may aware of the fact that for joining government sector you need to sit for examination , so for now its good that by the time you can do job at private sector then if you wish for giving examination for joining Government sector , so you can go ahead , but for now i would suggest you to join some private sector .

Helo,

You can go in the Govt sector as well as in the Private sector.

# In Private sector you can apply in the Giant IT companies like the Infosys, TCS, Wipro, HCL etc.

# In the govt. sector you are eligible to various other jobs. The selection of various govt. officer is done through the examination conducted by the UPSC or the SSC or any other state Public Service Commission. Try it!!

i think if you go for government sector you might not get good opportunities,but you can apply for private sector and prepare for GATE to get good government opportunities...

you have completed mca with good percentage,congratulation.Think what u want to do private job and govt.i think today govt jobs are more secure than private job.in private job there are lots of pressure,loads of work.In govt service there are security,increments year by year.i think you should go for govt job not private

The MCA completed degree holders have plenty of opportunities in both government and private sectors.The govt jobs which you can apply are
BSNL,
UPSC jobs,
Bank jobs,
Railway jobs,
Army jobs,
Defence jobs,
NTPC,
OIL,
SAIL,
Air force etc.
You can also take the career as private sector in the companies like INFOSYS,WIPRO,MINDTREE,TCS etc.
For finding jobs look at the website www.freshersworld.com or www.freejobalert.com.

dear friend,
After completion of MCA course you will get job opportunities from giant IT sectors..

In govt. sector you will not get much job opportunity.

So, My suggestion will be to go for a job first whether it is in private sector or it is in govt. sector..

As you have secured 66% aggregate in MCA course then you don't have any problem at the time of appearing in Campus drive of any company.

In IT sector you can apply for jobs in companies like-

1.CTS
2.TCS
3.INFOSYS
4.WIPRO
5.IBM
etc..
So, go for these jobs..

And you have wrong information that after 15 years in IT Industry your life will be finished. In fact after 15 years you have a lot of experience and professional capabilities and you will be more exposed for different kinds of jobs related to your knowledge.

First think i need to know is that if there was mathematics in your BA syllabus. If yes then you can obviously go for MCA as eligibility criteria for MCA entrance is :-
1) Nationality :- Indian.
2) Educational Qualification :- 60% marks (55% for SC/ST) in each of the examinations of :
(i) 12th level with Mathematics and
(ii) bachelor’s degree of full time 3 year duration from a recognized university with any of the subjects - (a) mathematics (b) statistics (c) business mathematics (d) discrete mathematics (e) mathematical foundations of computer science (f) business statistics (g) computational mathematics (h) elementary mathematics (i) elementary statistics .

So, as you don't write about your subjects in BA then if you are eligible then go for MCA.

MCA application form will available from the month of March and exam is generally held on :- May.
