Re: ICFAI CFA program vs. MBA

Hello dear Im somnath
i Hve completed my MBA from ICFAI university. I simply suggest If u interested in Financial Sector U can do MBA(Finance )or CFA. See one thing whether u want to do MBA or CFA u hve to remember that if u r interested in finacial sector than u hve to Clear all the NCFM course then only u will get exact benefit. In India after CFA or MBA u hve pass NCFM COURSE. so be focus on MBA with NCFM course . Definitely u will get good position in financial sector. If ur simple BSC then u should go for PHARMA SECTOR. IF Commerce u should prefer NCFM COURSES OR MBA. IF UR english honours then go for MASS COM. IF further inquiries ucan contact with my email ID [email protected]. Bye Friend all the best dont worry Be alive with positive attitude. If ur interested in Advertising than do advertisement courses from JJ art college Mumbai.

Re: ICFAI CFA program vs. MBA

hi,
there is no end of this discussion!

its just like "egg comes first or hen"
in some cases MBA is better, and in some cases CFA leads.
so,dont waist your time in thinking which is better,
if you have better laedership quality then do(mba),if you have better analytic ability in money managing then do (cfa)
if you have 'both' you can do both courses simultaneously,as it is offered by many foreign universities.

thanks

Re: ICFAI CFA program vs. MBA

people often confuse cfa and mba... let me explain it to you.
CFA is totally meant for career in finance especially.
while cfa gives you deep knowledge of finance mba gives you a balanced knowledge.
If MBA is a mile wide and a foot deep... cfa is a foot wide and a mile deep.
As an MBA you don't have so much authority in finance as a cfa... so if you are interested
in securities, share trading investment banking, global wealth management
Buy side/ sell side analyst... cfa is your thing.
you have to be really in love with numbers as CFA jobs demand a lot of number crunching.
If the above things dont interest you so much and you like to have a broader career
.. go for MBA
Further where you do your course also matters a lot
CFA aimr usa... is the real CFA with global recognition.
And you get chance of being part of a global network.....
wishes.

Re: ICFAI CFA program vs. MBA

Hi friend

My point of view, CFA is the best then MBA, because noe every student is trying to do the MBA only, no one interested in CFA due to the difficulty , you can for CFA ,

*Every year Exam are conducted times in a year and class will from 12 to 18 month, working hard will full confident , you can get through, the bright further is there for you, Good luck, Success is your friend

MBA is the best management course avialable in india and there is nothing better than mba ,cfa is nothing when compared to mba,so when you get an choice ,always opt for an mba

Re: ICFAI CFA program vs. MBA

i do agree with faiyaz comment, he's absolutely correct in stating that mba & cfa both are equally important fields these days. None of them have lesser demand in current scenario but here i would like to bring it into your knowledge that people are not much aware about CFA as they do with MBA, so i would like to request to those cfa students who are member of this forum who are either pursuing cfa or have completed it so that proper information can be achieved.
