DURATION OF THE COURSE Diploma in Pharmacy (part I and II) Two academic years (180 working days). Diploma in Pharmacy (part III) includes practical training for 500 hours spread over a period of not less than three months in any hospital, pharmacy, chemist and druggist and drugs manufacturing unit licensed under the Drugs and Cosmetics Rules SCOPE OF DIPLOMA IN PHARMACY A Pharmacist is a link between a Physician and the Patient. The pharmacy career will have openings in / as : 1. Community Pharmacist – He can get self employed by opening his own Retail Medical Store. 2. Hospital Pharmacist – Can have a scope in central dispensing area of a hospital where he can engage himself in dispensing the prescribed medicine. Also in a hospital, he can be engaged with the patients, or in obtaining patient medical history and in assisting the physician to select dosage regimen and schedules. 3. Whole sale pharmacy – offers opportunity to serve as a middle man between manufacturer and community pharmacists. 4. In Industry – In Marketing and Administration as Medical Representatives or as Sales Representative, who is in contact with the physician. This can be a rewarding career for persons with the right personality and inclination. It is also a stepping stone for higher position in sales. 5. Laboratory Technicians – Can serve as a drug store incharge in government organizations or as a laboratory technician invarious departments of a government hospital, laboratories, pharmacy colleges, etc. 6. Repackaging unit – can get the license for repacking of bulk drugs or chemicals as a selfemployment. 7. With the knowledge of physiology and hygiene, pharmacist can play a vital role in prevention of infection and in education of people. This can be done by co-ordinating himself with medical health centers, dispensaries and hospitals. Also, population being the top priority problem of our country, as pharmacist can promote family planning by getting attached to a medical centre |

I have complited b pharmacy &then did MBA, bcoz after b pharmacy l get job in production unit of well known company getting only 7000 sallary, u r getting much more in other field. So l leave this job and did MBA, coz production plants not taking m pharma Student's they have to choose only lecturer job , bcoz in r&d very rarlye vaccines r open . So friends leave thoughts of earning money by doing job , in pharmacy field . Start u r own bissnesss. B coz no one can (not govt, not companies ) bless us. |

The central government is very beneficial when compared to state government because the pay will be good and you will get some additional beneficial effects . The jobs are you can pharmacist job in government hospitals and you can get a job in in railway department as a pharmacist and you can get in navy , airways military as a pharmacist |
