Re: BCA or B.Arch., which course is better for getting a government job?

Both BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications) and B.Arch (Bachelor of Architecture) are different courses and have different career prospects. It depends on your interests, skills, and career goals when it comes to choosing between these two courses for getting a government job.

If you are interested in computer applications, software development, programming, and IT-related jobs, then BCA may be a better option for you. After completing BCA, you can apply for various government jobs in the IT sector, such as Software Developer, Web Developer, IT Analyst, Database Administrator, Network Administrator, and more.

Re: BCA or B.Arch., which course is better for getting a government job?

hello,
As you are a graduate in Bachelor of Computer Application, it is advisable for you to pursue your further education in Master of Computer Application.
This is because if one pursues one's post graduation in the same field of studies as that of one's graduation, one gains the complete knowledge of the subject concerned and thus one gains expertise into the subject and becomes a kind of specialist in the field.
People dont change their streams, until and unless they encounter various problems like:
Lack of scope in the present stream
Lack of Interest in it,
Lack of competency to deal with the subject.
Increasing awareness or interest about some another subject of equal growth, etc.

Talking about the scope between MBA and MCA:
MCA is more of a technical field and MBA is more of a managerial stream
If in the long run, you want to keep embracing the technicality, you can blindly go for MCA, or if you want to shift from technicality, you can jump into management.
Both have competitive scope in their

dear friend,
My friend as you want to get a govt. job in future then it will be better for you to go for B.Arch course.

Which is much more job prospective course than BCA..

Also B.Arch course is more valuable than BCA course.

After completion of B.Arch course you can get much job opportunity..

So, go for B.Arch course, don't be hesitate.

All the best.

These 2 courses which you have listed are very much apart from each other..

According to me you should consult your daughter about here interests. In BCA she must have a deep interest in computers while in BArch is drawing construction projects etc...

So firstly ask here what she like and on that basis let her take admission

These is scope in both but what matters is what you like.

I hope your daughter choses the best career option for herself

best of luck

Re: BCA or B.Arch., which course is better for getting a government job?

Dear pal,
it is not possible to compare two course and say which is better. Some of the important feature of the courses are below.
BCA is a three year course whereas B.arch is a five year course. If you wish to go for job soon then you can do degree in computer application as it will save your time . B.arch is also a good course where you will be dealt with the design of the interior. The main aspect is to make maximum use of the resource that is available. The first four years you will have classroom study and in the fifth year you need to work under a eminent architect. You may or may not given stipend for that.
After completing your course in computer application you can do your masters course for which you require a duration of two years to widen up your chance of getting job. If you are interested in design there is no harm in choosing it but it may require more years. The aspirant need to appear in entrance exam namely NATA or AIEEE to get into the degree course. The seats are limited for the architecture course. But there are more seats for the computer application course.

I think your daughter should go for BCA..
LIsten both bca and B Arch both have less cahnce in govt sector.
But in pvt sector, bca is far far better..
You can get software jobs and also do MCa which will also help you for getting better
The coledges you must chose near by...
I think management colleges are good for bca over engineering colledges....

so best of luck to your daughter...........

HI,

There is nothing like this course is best and the another one is worst. Its all the how you perform in your studies and the percentage counts the most to get the job.Higher the percentage scored in your X,XII and your degree, higher will be the opportunities for you to chose.Don't worry, get a course in which you feel you can do well and the course of interest you like the most as by which you can score more marks which will help you basically in get a good job.

Good luck.

BCA and B.arch both are very good courses they have very wide scope
BCA is bachelor of computer application and B.arch is bachelor in architect

If you are specific about government job go for B.arch there are lots of job vacancies
than BCA

To join B.Arch she has to sit for AIEEE or IIT-JEE or other state entrance tests for admission to best architecture colleges in India.

i suggest your daughter should opt for b.arch to get into government job

Re: BCA or B.Arch., which course is better for getting a government job?

Dear,

BCA and B.Arch., both courses are better depends upon your interest.

BCA course is related to computer field and B.Arch. course is related to engineering field.

If you are interested in engineering then you can do B.Arch. and If you are interested in computer then you can do BCA.

After both courses you can get a better job & handsome salary.

But B.Arch. course are too much better than BCA course, so according to my opinion you can do B.Arch. course for better future & career.

Good Luck

After completing your degree you can easily apply for governmet exam like UPSC,MPSC,TNPSC,NDA,CDS,etc & many more. After you get selected you will easily get government job.Try to score 60% in yor graduation. Also final year students can also apply.
Referring employment newspaper or rozgar samachar will be best for searching government jobs.So do that.

you can not compare BCA with B.Tech /B.Arch but you can compare B.Tech with MCA & B.Arch.
Their are less government jobs for these sectors
But with BCA chances of government job is much lesser than b.Tech & B.Arch.

Hi
If your daughter have really interest in computers then she should have to go for B.tech in comp.sci not BCA as B.tech in computer science in more advantageous in comparison to BCA courses. Also a computer engineer have better future if we compare with a Bca.

But if we think about government jobs then sir B.arch have bright future in the field of government jobs. Since for a computer engg. or BCA student also have some government jobs but not in large scale.

But this is your daughter future then I will suggest you should apply for only that branch .

GOOD LUCK

Re: BCA or B.Arch., which course is better for getting a government job?

Sir, both the courses were graduate degree course. For applying any govt. job the only requirement will be graduate.
So both courses are helpful for a candidate who were preparing for govt. job.

But B.Arch has better scope in civil services, means a candidate can apply any field whether it will for section engineer, branch engineer or any job related to construction.

So better go for B.Arch instead of BCA.

Thank you.

Re: BCA or B.Arch., which course is better for getting a government job?

Obviosly B.Arch course is much better than the BCA. For govt jobs , in future purspectives, BCA will no longer be entertained for this purpose but BArch course is self sufficient and you need not to do any other course after this .
I know such always exist that do what you want or bla bla bla....But honestly not BCA but MCA course has no importance now a days then just imagine your daughter after 5 odd years, nothing will happen . Even I havent seen any architecture graduate jobless unless ,he has backlog or weak in studies.
And as far as gobt jobs are concerned it has great future, since construction work will always have vaccancies.

The utility of BCA and B.Arch is totally different. BCA is Bachelor of Computer Application and B.Arch is Bachelor of Architecture. The course duration is also different. BCA being a 3 year course and B.Arch being a professional course of 4 years. If your daughter has a interest towards the software field BCA would be idle and if she is interested in engineering side and that too in drawing plans, desings and all of buildings then B.Arch would be idle. Both these qualifications are enough to get a Government Job wherever the minimum qualification is mentioned as graduation. Almost all the universities in India are offering BCA course but the number of seats in Architecture are still less. You can visit the site of AICTE to see the approved colleges in Architecture. You can visit www.aicte-india.org for more details.

Re: BCA or B.Arch., which course is better for getting a government job?

Hello Sir,

BCA is a general degree course related with Computer Application and software knowledge.
Whether B.Arch is high-demanding architecture course related with architecture or design engineering.

For admission to BCA courses, generally,no entrance test is required, it is based on higher secondary marks. To join B.Arch she has to sit for AIEEE or IIT-JEE or other state entrance tests for admission to best architecture colleges in India.

For admission to B.Arch as well as BCA, 50% marks is required in 10(+2).

In both these courses, ample job opportunities are there.Top Govt aided architecture companies recruit fresh graduates each year with huge amount of starting salary.
Compared to B.Arch, after BCA job offers are there but not as high as B.Arch.

Personally, i will suggest your daughter to opt for B.Arch.

Here are top architecture colleges:

Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur

Kamla Raheja Vidyanidhi Institute for Architecture and Environmental Studies, Mumbai

Indian Institute of Technology - Roorkee

Bengal Engineering and Science University, Howrah,West Bengal

Hi
Listen both the courses have their own field and own scope.
It is depend on you that in which field you have interest.
If your daughter have interested in IT then please choose BCA.
Dont worried about her future.
Because BCA has good scope in future.
After completing BCA join MCA from any reputed university.
After that prepare your daughter for entrance of BEL, NTPC,NCL and any one of the government sector.
These days MCA degree holders are good in demand in public sector and in private also.
Top colleges for BCA are listed below.
1. Satya Institute of Media and Management Lucknow, India
2. Indian Institute of Management & Commerece (IIMC) Hyderabad, India
