I secured 47.67 marks, AIR 3239, 530 score, 98 percentile in GATE 2012 CS General stream. Where all should I apply (NITs/RECs/other institutes) and what are my chances ?

Well,
that is a good score for GATE, you may the chance for getting into IIT or NITs.Normally above 40 you will get a good college for your M tech programme.

Lets hope for the best and wait for the results.

hello dear

according to your marks in gate your rank will be probably within 2000.

so with your rank you will not get IITs but you can get NITs easily.

1.NIT,Rourkella.

2.NIT, Kalinga.

3.NIT, patna.

4.NIT, Durgapur.

etc.

Congratulations your GATE score is quit good.

I think you may seat in IITs.

But surely you will get admission in top NITs.

hii, there are very good chances of NIT but in iit s a bit last chances as compettion is more and cut off more so you might get in iit guwahathi, roorkhee.

with 50% in gate exam it is difficult for you to get admission

in iit for m.tech but niit is for sure.

so till then wait for the result

You gave a good chance to make it to iit if you score that.
Previous year one of my friend scored 53 and get a rank 911 and got chance for admission in iit roorkee.

So, i think you have got your answer.

getting a seat in iit or nit purely depends on your gate percentile.
first of all you have scored above 50 congractulations and you can get seat in an iit institute if your gate percentile is more than 95%.
you have many chances in getting a seat in nit. all the best i wish you should get a seat in iit.

in iit u have to appear a written test with ur valid gate score except iit kgp.in nit u have to appear viva.

above 50 marks are good chance for selection in IIT's or obliviously NIT's.
