Re: How can I join airforce as an officer? you can join in air force in two ways. 1.through UES. which exam you can appear in the final year of your btech. 2.through UPSC exam. which exam you can appear after doing your btech. after complition of btech, you will get a officer post in air force. all the best........... |

Re: How can I join airforce as an officer? You can in Air Force by appearing Combined Defense Service examinations/Short Service Commission exams. Eligibility criteria for CDS exam: Candidate should have completed any graduation/Bachelor degree in Engineering in an recognized university. Age should be between 19 to 24 years Eligibility criteria for SSC exam: Candidate should have Bachelor degree in Engineering with any stream in an recognized university. Age should be between 19 1/2 to 25 years. Note: Even final year should can also appear for both exam. There are various entry scheme such as NDA,UES,CDS etc which are the way to enter in Indian Air force as an officer. The complete details regarding the various entry scheme in Indian Air force is given below: 1.Entry in Flying Branch MODE OF ENTRY a.Combined Defence Services Examination (CDSE) You can take the CDS Examination conducted by UPSC to join the Flying branch. Men can join the Air Force through this mode of entry and will be given a Permanent Commission. eligibility criteria: Age 19 to 23 years Gender for men only. Educational Qualifications: Graduate ( Three Year Course ) in any discipline from a recognised university. BE / B Tech student can also apply. b.National Cadet Corps Special Entry Air Wing Senior division 'C' Certificate holder of the National Cadet Corps can apply through this mode. eligibility criteria: Age 19 to 23 years Gender for men only. Educational Qualifications: Graduate ( Three Year Course ) in any discipline from a recognised university minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers . Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level BE/B.Tech student can also apply. 2.ENTRY TECHNICAL BRANCH Mode of entry. a.Direct Entry Scheme Students who have completed there engineering can apply through this mode of entry. b.University Entry Scheme (UES) Students who are in final year can apply through this mode of entry. Re: How can I join airforce as an officer? you have to write cds exam which is conducted by upsc every year. you can join the air force as an officer by giving the NDA exam conducted twice in a year by UPSE,also in the 6th semester of your carrier airforce published a form in which you can also apply. |

There are three branches in the Indian Air Force 1.Flying Branch: If a candidate is wiling to join in the flying branch, he will need to write NDA/CDS exam conducted by UPSC. 2.Technical Branch: IF a candidate is willing to join technical branch, he will need to write Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT) conducted by AirForce Selection Board. 3.Ground Duty Branch: Candidate willing to join this branch needs to write Common Entrance Test (CET). After clearing the exam for desired branch, candidate will need to undergo psychological test, group test, interview and medical test conducted by Air Force Selection Board. After successful completion of the tests, the selected candidate will be asked to join Air Force Academy for the training. |

Re: How can I join airforce as an officer? you can give CDS exam as well as can get through UES entry scheme but you must be physically fit and with that pass the interveiw for getting into the academy . the subjects are english , genral knowledge & elementary maths. you must score theminimum qualifying marks in all of them to go for the interveiw. all the best and good luck... |

Re: How can I join airforce as an officer? hi, to join indian airforce you have to fulfill these basic criterias: 1)you should be less than 23 years old. 2)you should be medically sound. after you fulfill these criterias you can then give the following exams to join indian airforce: 1)CDSE: it is an exam conducted for graduates by UPSC twice an year and can get more information from : www.upsc.gov.in 2)UES , SSC and fast track entery: these are the exams conducted by indian airforce and you can get more information for these enteries from: http://indianairforce.nic.in/ best of luck |

You can join airforce through CDS, UES, FAST TRACK ENTRY SCHEME in there technical as well as logistic cadre for ground duty as well as warfare branches of IAF. UES: it is entry scheme for graduates in flying as well as technical branches of Airforce.You have to appear for an entrance exam, interview and medical fitness test. FAST TRACK ENTRY SCHEME: it is on campus recruitment program newly introduced by IAF.They conduct campus placement in some selected gov.institute across India.
