Hi Choosing IIT for summer training is one of the best way to add value to you and your CV. You can simply apply by writing to the respective professor or their associate with your CV and cover letter. make sure you start applying by August or October as these professor dont have many seats. Mostly they prefer candidates with high CGPA but few of them also take on first come first basis. As far as stipend is concerned, it depend on the professor. In Every iits, there is a provision for summer internship under a guiding faculty. Usually candidates with a high mark are selected for internship in IIT ( u will definitely need a minimum score of 8.0 on a scale of 10 ). APPLYING u can apply online for internship in the respective IIT website. If you are selected , then you would also be paid a stipend (around 6000pm ). I did my internship in IIT-M for a month in june 2011. |
