Re: Can a girl join Indian Army after passing 12th Arts with 84%(18 years old)? After completion of class 12, men can join Indian Army as officer. You need to complete your graduation in the first instance. You can be part of the Short Service Commission and enter via the Non-tech (Both men & women), tech(Both men & women), NCC special entry(Both men & women) and Law graduates (Both men & women) medium. You will be serving as a Commissioned Officer for 10 years and is extendable up to 14 years. At the end of this period you have two options. Either elect for a Permanent Commission or opt out. After selection for Short Service Commission, you will attend the Officers Training Academy at Chennai. The selection process is a written exam followed by the SSB interview and medicals. For Technical (Engineering) graduates and law graduates it is direct SSB interview and medicals. If you have done NCC Senior Division (Army) and obtained 'C' certificate with minimum 'B' grade, you can apply through your NCC Branch HQ/Zonal HQ to Recruiting Directorate for direct SSB interview. |

But no need to worry you have an another option to join in army. You can apply CDS exam after your graduation, so first complete your graduation and then apply CDS examination. All the best. |

I am sorry to say that you can't join Indian Army after passing 12th with 84% marks. If you want to join Indian Army then you can apply after passing grdaution with any stream. After passing graduation you have to qualify the C.D.S exam. C.D.S is combine Defence services C.D.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year. The age limit for C.D.S exam is 19-24 year. I am very sorry to say that, a 12th class passed girl is not eligible for the Indian army. I mean , Girls can not apply for the NDA [NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY] examination, conducted by the Union public service commission [UPSC]. Through this examination, one can apply for all the combatant branches of the Indian army, ie.e in AIR FORCE, NAVAL BRANCH & IN MILITARY BRANCH. The age limit for the NDA examination is 16.5-19 years As girls are not eligible for this examination, so you have only option of completing your graduation in any stream , and y After graduation there is a CDS exam [combined defence services], conducted by the UPSC. Re: Can a girl join Indian Army after passing 12th Arts with 84%(18 years old)? hi friend.. sorry to tell you that for girls they cant apply for indian army right after finishing class 12 .. but they can apply for it after their graduation.. minimum requirements is a degree of graduation with 55% and the age limit is 21 to 29% and most importantly you should be physically fit.. but you cant apply for navy and air force.. since you took arts... because for these you need physics and maths.. hope these helps you.. thank you.. |

Only Recruit the Unmarried male candidates. Minimum Qualification Is 12th From a recognized Board. The Age should between 16 1/2 - 19 Yrs. Re: Can a girl join Indian Army after passing 12th Arts with 84%(18 years old)? NDA is the recruitment exam conducted by UPSC for the plus-two candidate in defense academy. Only the candidates who are not females and also not married can appear for the exam. So you will not be eligible for joining in any defense stream with the plus-two profile. But if you really interested in the army wing you can take the CDS exam in non-technical division. For that you need to take the graduation from the recognized university and more details about the CDS can be obtained in the UPSC site. |
