Re: How may I know the ISRO syllabus for Mechanical Engineering?

The written test for selection of Scientists/Engineers in ISRO is scheduled to be held on 21st April. The details about the advertisement available in the ISRO website http://www.isac.gov.in/CentralBE/advt.jsp does not really spell out the actual syllabus to be followed. For all practical purposes, you may stick to the syllabus followed by you in your BE Exam.

Moreover, question papers for the past six years are also available in the webpage http://www.isro.org/scripts/job.aspx. Please download all the question papers and go through them very carefully. This will give a very detailed idea about the exam and make your preparation better.

All the best.

Re: How may I know the ISRO syllabus for Mechanical Engineering?

Most of the recruitment exams are based on an standard syllabus which includes the
core papers of the engineering discipline.

You may find bit difference in the wordings or detailing of syllabus in different institutions
but they are more or less same.

If you are finding difficulty in referring the right syllabus you should take the
syllabus of GATE as standard syllabus.
You must cover all the core mechanical engineering papers which you studied
during B.Tech./B.E. and then turn the GATE syllabus to check if you have missed
something.

Also, you should refer the last year question papers of ISRO recruitment exams
which will give you idea of that topics which you might have missed or those may
tell you that you have referred a very standard syllabus.
