Re: List of top 5 programming languages?

Top Programming Languages in the World:

=> Java-object oriented language with a strong library of reusable software components.

=> C-procedural language developed by Dennis Ritchie. It is an old language but still very popular and much in demand.

=> C++- multi-paradigm language. It is an updated version of C. More clumsier than Java but still used to create an array of applications.

=> PHP- It is mostly used as an interpreter and was developed by Rasmus Lerdorf. It is a very popular language when it comes to writing web applications.

=> Visual Basic- It is mostly used to write web applications and is a descendant of BASIC.

Re: List of top 5 programming languages?

hello,
First, list your top five programming languages,in terms of your expertise (how well youknow the language, notnecessarily how long you’ve used it). Here are mine:
1. Synergy/DE
2. C/C++
3. Ruby
4. C#
5. PHP
Next, list your top five languages, in terms of how much you’ve used each one over thelast year. Mine again:
1. C/C++
2. Synergy/DE
3. PHP
4. Delphi
5. C#
Finally, list your top fivelanguages, in terms of what you’d like to be using more (regardless of actual available opportunities). Mine are:
1. Ruby
2. ECMAScript
3. Lisp (any flavor)
4. Haskell
5. Synergy/DE (version 9)

Java
Java is a programming language developed by James Gosling at sun microsystems
it derives much of its syntex from C & C++ but has a simpler object model

C language

C is a general purpose computer programming language developed between 1969 & 1973 by Dennis Ritch at the Bell Laboratories
C was designed for implementing system software

PHP
PHP is a general purpose server side scripting language originally designed for web development to produce dynamic web pages
it is one of the first developed server side scripting language to be embedded into an HTML source doument

C++ languages

C++ is a statically typed , free form , multi paradigm , compiled , general purpose programming language
C++ is one of the most popular programming language with application domains including systems software device drivers

Visual Basic

Visual Basic is a thrid generation event driven programming language & integrated development environment from microsoft for its COM programming model first released by in 1991

2. C#:- C# is powerful language. This language designed and developed by
Microsoft which appeared in the year 2001. It is multi-paradigm encompassing the features like imperative , functional , object oriented , structured and component oriented.

3. C++:- C++ is the general purpose programming language. It was
designed and developed by Bjarne Stroustrup. It is middle level language , that it is been combined by high level language and low level language.

4. JavaScript:- JavaScript is an functional programming language. Its an
extension of ECMAScript. It was designed by Brendan Eich and developed by Netscape Communications Corporations, Mozilla Foundations. Its dynamic , weak and duck prototype based language. Its provides action to web page.

5. Visual Basic:- Visual Basic is the third generation event-driven
programming language and integrated development environment. It was developed by Microsoft. This Object based and Event driven language came into being in the year 1991.

6. PHP:- PHP is an very much scripting language.It was designed by Rasmus
Lerdorf and developed by The PHP group. It was basically designed
