The basic eligibility criteria for BE in genetic engineering is 10+2 or equivalent examination, with Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics as well as genetics as part of the biology OR a bachelors degree in science or molecular biology.

Selection to the B.Tech course is based on merit i.e the marks secured in the final exams of 10+2 and through entrance exams. Entrance to the IIT's is through JEE (Joint Entrance Exam) and for other institutions through their own separate entrance exams and other state level and national level exams.

Some of the institutes offering the course are:
Kakatiya University, Warangal
Osmania University, Hyderabad

According to me -
U must score 60% and above in all subjects.55% above in total for appearing aieee,iit,jnu and other entrances

fee structure in within 1 lakh,if it is govt college ,however privat colleges fees may go upto 1.5 lakh per annum in india

for abroad.must hav 4 or more score in toefl and good sat score.studying in us in costly....50000/- per subject!

It is very good that you are applying for Genetic engineering

criteria for Genetic engineering :

* Age limit 19- 25 year old
* The candidant should be graduated with b pharma degree with minimum 60% marks
* Fee structure for Genetic engineering depend on which college you choose
Basically it required 4 to 5 lach
