Try some good online/ digital classes - kayson, meritnation, TopChalks.com, Learnext are some of the best available - some of them offer exce;;ent, low-cost coaching at your own pace. Mind you - these will not replace your requirement for joining coaching classes 100%.

From my experience i can say you that don't go to any coaching center for the preparation of IIT JEE.It will waste and consume your lots of time.If you are sincere then prepare at home only it will save your time and energy and you can study with concentration.Just brought some good materials from markets and start preparing. Coaching center is just like vegetables market.Lots of students. So prepare at home.

Well, it's been a blunder on my part that I didn't took my studies seriously, rather very seriously, in class 11th. And the consequence is that whatever had been taught the whole year, it seems that I don't know even a single thing !! But now, with full dedication, I really want to be an IITian and dream of getting rank under top 100........How to start the preparation (please give your valuable tips) ?

Re: How to prepare for IIT JEE in 1 year?

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) grants admissions to students through an entrance exam called Joint Entrance Examination or more popularly as JEE. It is considered as one of the toughest examination in the world. More 4000000 (40 lacks) candidates appear for the examination and less than 9000 make it to IITs. For a competition as tough as IIT JEE, One have to be well prepared with no doubts. Make your mind feel that you can make it out.

]U]1. Believe in Yourself
2. You must convince yourself that the geeks and nerds who enter IIT every year are much like you and me in every aspects.
3. Learn Time Management
4. Find out what you need for studying
5. Take some regulas study materials and practice papers before a few days for your exam and start solving them.
6. Try getting hold of some good mentors.

Re: How to prepare for IIT JEE in 1 year?

The Joint Admission Board (JAB) has accepted the percentile based formula for conducting the JEE in 2013.
The IIT-JEE aspirants will be required to appear in a screening test first. Those who will qualify will be given an opportunity to sit in the Advanced JEE.
Two Exams – JEE Mains followed by JEE Advance
Time gap between these two exams will be two to three weeks.
JEE Main which is equivalent to AIEEE and will be conduced by CBSE, JAB and JIC will also support in this.
JEE Advance which is equivalent to IIT JEE will be conducted by IITs (JAB and JIC); with the same composition as at present
Only top 1,50,000 students including all categories from JEE Main will be able to appear in JEE Advance
Students who come in top 20 percentile in their board can only give the exams.
Admissions to IITs will be based only on category wise All India Rank (AIR) in JEE ADVANCED
Admission in other deemed universities who take admission on the basis of AIEEE will be based on JEE Main exam. Min %age criteria will be fixed for these too.
Study pattern:
Study never ends..As much you study you can...I wil suggest you to make 3 hrs slot for each subject and after that get 1hr break.so you can do study well

Dear friend,

The Best idea for Preparing for IIT-JEE is to completely concentrate over the concept of PCM books of 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th. Just revise all the concept and also try to solve the Model Paper, Test series.

Best of Luck.

Re: How to prepare for IIT JEE in 1 year?

Hello friends,
Cracking JEE is a very easy task if you are committed to do so wholehearted. I cracked JEE when i was in your situation few years back.
Just follow the simple steps then you will be in IIT Campus next year.

1. Commitment:
Every task needs commitment and dedication. First decide what you are upto. And count the months which you are left with. Then give 100% commitment for what you are going to do.

2.Basic understanding of Each subject:
Your primary task has to be understanding of basic principles or concepts in each subject. Unless you clear all the basic needs, you are unable to grasp what you are going in advanced stage. So, be prepared with basic understanding of concepts.

3.Books
Don't use multiple books for your preparations. It will be very confusing. Try to assign a book for each subject and prepare according to the syllabus.

4.Practice
Try to get an idea of what knowledge you have achieved so far. Collect all the previous JEE papers and try to solve on your own. Then see whether you are efficient with few topics or not. If not, then go to that specific topic and make it clear.

5. Time Management
The biggest problem will arise in managing your time. I tell you just a simple way to crack this problem. It will be very difficult to prepare long hours during initial stage. Start preparation with 2hrs/day at the intial stage then you can increase your time as the time passes. Assign short term goals like this chapter has to be completed within 1 week then stick with the deadline.

All the best for future success. Now, go and bang

Regards!
Ravi

Re: How to prepare for IIT JEE in 1 year?

Although it is always advisable to start preparing for IIT JEE from class 11 but you need not worry much about it. It is never too late when you yourself realize the importance of time.

Divide your 24 hours efficiently so that you can give proper attention to your board exam preparation and also your IIT JEE preparation.

It will help if you get some tutors or coaching centres to help you on this as it is not always possible to understand things on your own. They will be able to highlight the scoring areas and thus your work will become more easier.

Hope this helps

Re: How to prepare for IIT JEE in 1 year?

the first thing you have to do is believe in yourself.you can still make it to iit with a good rank.take my example,i was having 66% in 11th and wasted most of my time in 11th,but i still managed to score above 300 in jee 2011.seriously you have a lot of time left.one year is more than enough for jee.but do not take jee in a very easy manner.at the same time dont get too tensed about it.
join a good coaching institute if you havent done already.join the best one available even if they are not very good in your area.prepare very well by following whatever your teacher tells you.believe me it works.complete all the assignments given.i am not saying the names of any books here, but you can find them in many sites.buy a maximum of three books in each subject covering all topics and prepare very well.dont go over topics too fast, but give ample time to each topic but do not lag too much.you will get an idea once you start preparing seriously.do not listen to anything discouraging people around you might say be it teachers, friends.i was always discouraged by my teachers because of the fact that i was not scoring well in school in 11th.but as i started studying well,my scores in school improved and their attitude changed.always talk to your parents about your preparation and tell them to support you mentally.please do not waste time in internet if you want to do well in jee.let me tell you, internet is not needed at all for jee preparation.it contributed 1% in my preparations.do not go to sites for iitjee and waste your time in there.i am not telling you to study 6 hours everyday, but try to study most of the time you get.i never kept track of the hours i used to study.but i always avoided any other activity that might waste my time and studied most of the time until i got bored.try to put in more quality with quantity.if you feel like sleeping, sleep and study after waking up,rather than studying in a sleepy mood.always believe you will clear jee easily.give lots of tests and give a test a day towards the end of 12th.if you can buy fiitjee packages in 12th end.please dont buy it in 11th and lose your confidence.
study physics conceptually, ask lots of questions to your teachers.classroom knowledge is the most important thing in physics.study chemistry by spending more time in it.do practice in physical after understanding the concept.spend a lot of time in organic chemistry (i did it in 12th in 2-3 months)and get used to mechanisms and everything.try to finish portions atleast by february end in 12th.remember always do topics well rather than running through them.in maths do lot of practice.try to complete the books that you have like tmh,or arihant.keep track of the topics you have to cover by writing them down all the topics in a paper.if you believe nothing can stop you from going to iit.do not set your targets low.if you set your target as 1000 you will get 2000.if you set it as top 100 you will get inside 500.

Re: How to prepare for IIT JEE in 1 year?

hey,
IIT stands for Indian Institute of Technology,,,IIT is really one of the tough exam
as everyone would say,,,but basically its not difficult,,,rather its Different,
If you are preparing for IIT,,,then a coaching institute is must,,,you may select
a coaching institute as per your location,
It should not be far away from your house.
It should provide right study materials.
It should take weekly tests and help you improve with your scores.

Your approach to the questions must be different,,,thats what an IITian is,,,
you must be smart enough to find a solution to the given question irrespective
of its length,,,
Most students think that IIT based questions are Lengthy,,,But they dont know
that the Ques Being lengthy are providing you more details to solve it...

All The Best

Re: How to prepare for IIT JEE in 1 year?

As you have wasted your first year ,but it is good that you have recognised in second year that is good now it will be a time for you to concentrate on studies make your own plans go with your stratergy ,plan in away such that you complete the study of your board textbooks first if it i9s completed then go for the study of the notes in your desired iit books and go on with problems books of arihant are good for you and other books like JDLee O.P.Tandon H.C.Verma all the best

Re: How to prepare for IIT JEE in 1 year?

Hi friend,
This is difficult task to do because students find it hard to clear IIT in 3-4 years. so I suggest you skip this thought because there are only 2 attempts of IIT possible so it is better if you opt for preparing well in 2 years and then appearing for the exam. Moreover, if you wish to crack it after studying 1 whole year then it will become difficult for you as you'll have to cover up the syllabus of class 11th &12th both.
