Re: What is the age criteria to join merchant navy after diploma in mechanical trade? please join Merchant Navy after mechanical engineering. a mechanical engineer join merchant navy by undergo one year training and for this you need to appear for the entrance exams like Joint Entrance Exam, OPENNET exam. It is very easy for a mechanical engineer to join merchant navy,there are two ways,either you go for deck cadet or for technical branch as an engineer.some cottage name are here like Navi Mumbai, MERI, Kolkata and Mumbai. good luck |

For getting admission,you have to qualify entrance test conducted by the college. You eye visibility should be 6/6 which you can check in a clinic. Best of luck. |

Re: What is the age criteria to join merchant navy after diploma in mechanical trade? The minimum age to join this stream is 18 years. Institutes normally keep the maximum age limit is 20 years. You can apply only if you have secured a minimum of 60% in the qualifying exam. Also the diploma course you studied should be from a recognised institute and should be equivalent to the 12th standard. You will also need to clear the entrance exam. |
