hey ...you need not worry at all...CS has not lost its scope...Yes its true that during recession period,CS and IT branch got bit of a set back...but that does not mean its all over...CS as a subject is very interesting..You need to develop your command in this subject and once you get it ,then no one can stop you from getting a handsome salary job from top companies like Wipro,infosys,TCS,Cognizant,etc...

About changing your stream, dear it totally depends on your interest...If you feel CS in interesting and you will enjoy studying it then stick with you present stream..otherwise you may opt for any other stream of your choice....but remember choose that field where your interest lies the most...

Well its first of all your own choice whether you are comfortable with this stream or not there are many other branches also.. but all of have thier own advantages and disadvantages.
Just focus on your choice and then opt for your opinion However CS is a good stream but it needs hardwork in the market and regular updation and thorough command over the subject.
During the reccession the CS branch considerably lost its scope but as the market is reviving from it the stream is again started gaining its previous position. and i hope that the situation would be better in the near future.
If you want to change your branch then Civil,Mechanical and Electrical are also good options since all of them are having their good govt. and public sector oppotunities so according to your interest you could opt any of them.
