Hi,

Its good to know that you are well determined and a well focused person towards achieving your goals.Basically the eligible criteria for joining air force is that you need to have pass certificate of 12th standard or an equivalent certificate. You must attain the age of 19 years and above and need to have physic and math background in your past studies. If you are in XII standard then you can appear for the NDA exam but need to provide pass certificate proof at the later date as specified by UPSC.You also need a minimum physic standard as required by UPSC.You can do it.

Good luck.

Re: How to join Indian Air Force for Flying Branch?

Hello,
Flying branch of the IAF is one of the most exciting careers where the candidates who are selected are trained as Fighter pilot, helicopter pilot or a transport pilot. There are three modes of selection for Flying Branch.

i.Combined Defence services Examination conducted by UPSC.
Eligibility-:Age limit is 19 to 23 years. candidate should be unmarried.
Education qualifications-egree from a recognised university.PCM at 10+2 level is essential or bachelor of engineering, final year students too can apply provided they do not have any backlogs.

If you match this criteria then you can chase your dream as you can apply for CDS on before 25/10/2010 online and if you are applying offline your applications must reach "SController of Examination, Union Public Service Commission, Dholpur house, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi - 110069" by 25/10/2010,it can be through speed post/register post/by hand or by courier.
check freshersworld.com in defence jobs for more details for this job advertisement.

ii.The other mode of selection is through SSC, which is for 14 years of service with no further extension.Age should 19 to 23 years.Sohuld be a graduate from recognised university with 60% of aggregate marks.Must have PCM at 10+2 level or B.E/B.TECH with min of 60% aggregate marks put together in all semester.final years too can apply, provide they dont have any backlogs.candidate should be unmarried.Notifications are published in march& september every year.

iii.One more mode of entry is also there, which is National Cadets Corps Special Entry. The educational qualifications are-: Candidate must have NCC Air Wing Senior Division "C" certificate. All other qualifications are similar to that of the SSC mode (above mentioned in ii).Advertisements are in April& October every year.

Wishing you all the best to make your dream come true.

Re: How to join Indian Air Force for Flying Branch?

Its Very interesting to fly in air...

In order to join Air Force in Flying branch,
You have to Attempt an Entrance Exam.
The entrance exam is conducted on a national scale,
in which candidates from all over the nation appear.
The exam is of high standard and offers tough competition,
as there are very less number of seats offered in the Flying Branch.
For This Exam The Eligibily Criteria As Per My Idea Is Inter in MPC branch and also B.E/B.Tech with 60%.

For More Detail Information you can refer the following Website:
