As a Biotech students you will find jobs in companies involved in research and devlopment programme related to human beings and plants. You can also enter in laboratories in hospitals, research institutes and pharmaceuticals/biotechnology companies.

An MSc in biotechnology followed by Phd in biotechnology will add your chances of becoming a biotech scientist and you may lead and head a research programme.

The jobs for Medical Sceince students like Biotech/Microbilogy/Genetic/Pharmacology will rise by 60% in the coming 5years in India alone. This industry alone contributes 20000crore in current GDP of India which is expected to grow to 1lacs crore by 2016.

Hello,
Biotechnology, is progressing slowly but surely in india.
Biotech is an research based sector, every research and developement company requires enough experience from employees.
So, just after M.Sc. Without experience of training there are less opportunities for your bright career. You should complete your internship and training programs in bachelor degree, and should complete training courses in master degree as well. If you opt Ph.D, it will be more beneficial for you. You can get job after master degree, in R AND D department of any research company as a junior scientist.
Ok, best of luck.
