Re: What is the difference between BSc and B.E?

B.tech ( 4 years) is equal to engineering degree which is equal to mca.

B sc is just a graduation it is of 3 years. after B.Sc u can do mca.

B sc consist of physics, maths, chemistry and electronics or computer scinece.

B.Tech courses, more emphasis is given on practical training as compared to the same subject in B.Sc.

Now, if we consider B.Tech in Information Technology (IT) and B.Sc in Information Technology (IT); we would see that in B.Tech (IT), the candidate is taught many principles of general engineering such as engineering drawing, workshop, general physics, electrical and electronics etc. But in B.Sc (IT) the candidate is taught only the programming languages and that tools that are necessary in the Information Technology industry.

Due to all these difference, B.Tech has greater employability as compared to B.Sc.

The Main difference are :-

>>B.sc(Bachelor of Science) is a normal degree course.
>>You will not be able to appear in GATE Exam after doing this course.
>>You will also not be able to appear in IES Exam.
>>It is a 3 years course.
>>Fee structure of this course is very less as compared to Engineering.

>>B.E(Bachelor of Engineering) is a science and Engineering course.
>>It is a 4 years course.
>>In order to take admission in this course you will have to score a valid rank in Engineering entrance exam.
>>After getting pass in this exam you will able to appear in GATE/PUS/IES Exam.
>>After getting pass in GATE/PUS Exam, you will able to get jobs in Navratnas/Maharatnas Companies.
>>Its degree will be approved from the AICTE.

Re: What is the difference between BSc and B.E?

hello friend..!!
(a)bsc is basically the bachelor of science which is done after 12th class.
you should have science group in +2 and should have 60 % marks in 12th.

(b)B.E is the Bachelor of Engineering. It is four year duration programme. To join this programme you should complete your 10+2 with Physics,Chemistry and Math. After Compliting B.E you can become an Engineering in different areas. In B.E(Computer Science) you study about the hardware of computer.

All the Best...!!

Re: What is the difference between BSc and B.E?

BSc means Bachelor of Science, B.E - Bachelor of Engineering

BSc is a three years course. After Bsc you can go for MCA(Master of Computer Applications). In BSC you can study maths, C,C++,Java,Asp.Net,Visual Basic,c#,Computer Networks,Oracle. B.Sc consits of many branches like Computer Science,Chemistry,Physics,Botany, zoology.

BE is a four years course. It has various branches Computer Science Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering,Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Automobile Engineering.

Both has wide job opportunities. Many IT companies is depend on Freshers. Both are very important course. If you know Programming Languages it is very easy to get placements. Hope for the best.

Best wishes

Friend,
BSc and B.E both are Bachler degrees.

BSc is the Bachler Degree in Science. After this you go in medical fields.

B.E is the Bachler Degree in Electronics. After this you go in different fields of Engineering(Technical,Mechanical Enginnering).

Re: What is the difference between BSc and B.E?

B.Sc is Bachelor of science, and B.E is Bachelor of engineering.

B.E is equivalent to B.Tech and makes a student specialist in one of the branch of engineering. e.g mechanical, electronics and communication, Computer Science etc.

Whereas B.Sc moulds a student and provides all the knowledge regarding science, basically B.Sc doesnot covers any specialisation.

You can become a specialist in any of the science subject after taking M.Sc in a particular subject say maths.

Second big difference is in the studies of both the degrees.

Re: What is the difference between BSc and B.E?

Bsc refers to bachelor in science which includes conventional use or detailed knowledge of science subjects like physics, chemistry, biology, botany. where as BE refers to bachelor in engineering which includes application of above said science subjects in development of society and human welfare. in engineering apart from learning th basics of science you will also learn th application of such basic sciences. so BE is 4 year and Bsc is 3 year course

Re: What is the difference between BSc and B.E?

BSC is bachelor in science which is 3 years course where as BE is 4 years degree course
to become engineers.

For BSC you can easily get admission to your nearest university and its fees is also low
and you can say its not professional course .Where as BE is more like professional course
which helps you to get placement in good company and to get admission to good college
you have to take entrance test like IIT JEE or AIEEE.

BSC students just to get degree it wont provide you any good jobs where as BE will
provide you good job.If you do BSC then it is necessary that you should do higher
education too.

Re: What is the difference between BSc and B.E?

BSC is an abbreviation which stands for Bachelor of Science. On the other hand, BEng stands for Bachelor of Engineering.

BSC focuses more on theories and principles, while BEng focuses more on practical application.

BSC focuses more on theories and principles, while BEng focuses more on practical application.

BSC degrees are usually theoretically based. This means that most, if not all, of the courses that they would need to complete in the program, involve the use of research, and the proper understanding and analysis of theories and principles that are presented in textbooks, journal reports and past experiments. This includes engineering courses that are considered as Bachelor of Science degree programs. While there are certain laboratory courses that the student needs to complete, these are often done in controlled environments, in order to prove and give the students a further understanding of the theories and principles discussed in class.

On the other hand, BEng undergraduate degree programs are more practically oriented. They are the complete inverse of BSC degree programs.
Here, students do introduce and familiarize themselves to theories and principles, but the bulk of the academic program is concentrated in applying these theories and principles in a practical manner, which would help them be more prepared when they go and join the corporate world.
