Hi dear........

IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service , This exam is conducted through UPSC every year for this the interested candidates have to appear Civil Service Exam .

There are some eligibility Criteria :

**The candidates should be a graduate in any discipline from a recognize university.
**The age limit is 21 - 30 yrs.
There is a age relaxation for reserved candidates.
**The no . of attempt:
General - 4
SC/ST - unlimited
Obc - 7

IAS is "Indian administrative services" which is a civil service whose exam is conducted by the commission UPSC or Union Public Service Commission of india.

In india,along with IAS there are several other civil services exams are too there which all are generally,conducted by the same commission UPSC.

To sit for the IAS exam,you must have to satisfy some eligibility conditions regards :

--educational qualifications

--age limit

--nationality

--physical criteria etc.



Here are the eligibility criteria for the UPSC conducted exam,IAS as follows :


1.Educational qualifications :

you must have degree in bachelor from recognized & well reputed university of india with minimum 55-60% marks.

You must have atleast any of these subjects in graduation as :

Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science
Botany
Chemistry
Geology
Mathematics
Physics
Statistics
Zoology
Bachelor's degree in Agriculture
Forestry or
Engineering



2.Age limit :

you must be within 21-30 years of age to apply for IAS exam,under general conditions but relaxation for 3-5 years are present for particular category candidates.


3.No. of permissible attempts :

There are a total of four attempts for general and (Seven attempts of OBCs and no limit for SCs/STs ).

I.A.S exam is also called as civil services exam.

Civil Services exam is conducted by U.P.S.C once in a year.

Civil Services exam is conducted for many post like:-

yes you can apply for the exam as anyone who passed graduation from recognized university can apply for the exam at www.upsconline.nic.in after notification..

And for its coaching you can either check good institutions in your city or it is generally said that best coaching centres are available in delhi..

Graduates from any discipline is eligible for IAS(Indian Administrative Service) and to become an IAS officer one has to crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC every year.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate.

So after B.Com. One is eligible to apply for Civil Service Exam.

IAS - Indian Administrative Service, to become an IAS officer one has to get through Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC every year after Graduation in any stream.

The eligible candidate should be a Graduate in any stream of education from a recognised University having Indian Nationality. The candidate should be within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for OBC candidate up to 3 years and for SC/ST candidate up to 5 years.

The selection is hrough three phases:-

CSAT - Civil Service Aptitude Test - Preliminary Exam

-Civil Service Main Exam

-Personal Interview

So after B.Com.ne is eligible to apply for Civil Service Exam.

Yes, You can because eligibilty criteria for IAS is degree of graduation, which you already have. Now just focus on Preparation of exam by reading books of general knowledge, Reasoning and aptitude. Aspirant,
Yes you can apply for IAS if you are in B.Com final but on a provisional basis of this you can apply for Prelims as final year student but after passing prelims and before Mains one has to compulsorily submits marksheets or full degree documents, so if it is possible for you to produce documents at the time of IAS Mains than you can apply.

You can do IAS(Indian Administrative Service) after B.com

IAS exam is conducted by UPSC

* You should be the citizen of India.
* You should complete graduation from a recognized university
* The age limit must be within 21-35 years for SC/ST.
* The age limit must be within 21-33 years for OBC.
* The age limit must be within 21-30 years for General category.

Attempts:

* For SC/ST category - No limit
* For OBC - 7 attempts.
* For General - 4 attempts

Yeah you can do IAS exam after B.com as it is UG degree and as far regarding the criteria's only a degree is needed for IAS exam.

Eligibility for IAS exam:

-> Candidate must be a citizen of India.

-> Candidate must have a age limit of 21-30 years for general category.

-> Candidate must have a age limit of 21-35 years for SC/ST category.

-> Candidate must have a age limit of 21-33 years for OBC category.

-> Candidate must have a degree from a recognized university no matter what discipline they finish their degree.

the eligibility for IAS exam:
A degree of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be a Deemed University under the UGC Act, 1956, or an equivalent qualification.

You ae eligible to go for IAS after your graduation,stream is not a fact for IAS.
But age limit is 21 to 30 years...
If your age more than 21 and you are a graduate student then you can apply for upsc exem...

Yes you are eligible after completing B com degree & fulfilling the below mention eligibility criteria.


Eligibility conditions:
Age limits: Not less than 21 years and not more than 30 years as on 1st August, 2011
The upper age limit is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC and certain other categories of candidates to the extent specified in the notice
Educational qualifications: Degree of a recognized university or an equivalent qualification
Physical standards: Candidates must be physically fit according to the regulations given in the appendix-III of rules for the civil services examination, 2011 published in the gazette of India extraordinary dated 19th February, 2011
Number of attempts: The maximum number of attempts permissible to different categories of aspirants, who are otherwise eligible, will be as follows
General category (04); P.H. candidates belonging to general category (07); OBC (07); SC/ST/ (no limit)

Preliminary( Objective choice) optional papers, general studies
Mains(Subjective type) Optional papers, General Studies, Essay writing, English
Interview

exam date :- 12.06.2011

Your general knowledge should be very good,your knowledge about the geographical area and many more thing relating to Indian economy and history.

Only pass in graduation is required.

Hi,
To become IAS you will have to clear Civil Services Exam conducted by UPSC.

You can study any way as you want to study but it should be in a systematic way and you should cover your subjects very properly and in time. You need to be focused in your studies.
You should prepare yourself well enough to face the exam as it is one of the toughest exam to crack.

Where you will get the forms?
Ans. The forms can be obtained from the GPO/Head Post Office on payment of Rs 20 only.


The Eligibility Criteria for IAS

1. A Graduation Degree in any discipline from any recognised university/college in India
2. Age Limit is 21 to 30 years.

Since you did your graduation from a recognised university, you are eligible to write Civil Services Exam.

UPSC conducts Civil Services Examination every year for entry to IAS, IPS, IFS etc
The forms can be obtained from any GPO/Head Post offices by payment of Rs 20.
The eligibility for UPSC CS Exam is:
A graduation degree
Age Limit is 21 to 30 years.
Since you are a graduate, so you are eligible for UPSC CS Exam if your age is between 21 to 30 years.

IAS is not a subject ..it is one of the category of UPSC cadres.
To go into ias u have to clear upsc exam.
Also remember one more advice plz dont go after money and social status ..u should have attitude for social service to clear aptitude test of upsc. Rest u can find at www.upsc.gov.in

Graduate from any stearm can go for IAS Exam.

U have to go for wide study of GK and then Perpare for first exam then the Main then will be the GD and finally the interview.

You can do IAS ,since the eligibility criteria for IAS is graduation from any stream .
So you can try for IAS
You can opt subjects from your syllabus , because there is many choices for you since you are from B COM stream

to take up IAS exam one must have completed their graduation...you can take up IAS exam after Bcom..you can refer the following books for your preparation
1.verbal and non verbal reasoning by RS agarwal
2.general studies -mc graw hill publication
3.books on current affairs like competitive vision,competitive success
4.social studies text books of high school
5.read newspaper everyday.

You can persue IAS after your BCom degree, you are eligible for that .
About: IAS exam is conducted in two modes: Pre and main. In Pre mode, you have to prepare for General science/knowledge+English+quantitative analysis and current affairs. And in Mains, you need to select optional subject, and also prepare for english,hindi tests .
Procedure: Very simple way to get the form is from head post office nearby your town. Just purchase the recruitment form by the payment of Rs20/-. When you fill the form completely , just affix a recruitment stamp of desired rupees.

The student even with 33% marks can appear in this exam.
The thing which matter is not appearing in this exam it to crack it

Any stream graduate can become an IAS officer but to succed in this particular exam is really tough.
The best thing to get success is to decide aparticular subject in which you have full command so that you may give out your bets performance

So percentage is not needed in this exam, only and only hard wprk is required.

YES there is a chance to study IAS after B.com
You should have minimum 60% in academic year
