Firstly you have huge donation to the college and get direct entry. This way your marks in the 12th class hardly matters.

Secondly if you have performed exceptionally well in the 12th class and obtained more than 90+ percent marks, some colleges would not miss out on opportunity to grab you. They will give you direct entry without having to appear in any entrance exam.

However this process is not always recommended especially if you are trying for Engineering college because several private companies do look into your performance in entrance exam while you apply for the job. This may hamper your jobs prospect in some companies, unless you score exceptionally well in the degree.[/QUOTE]

imira	Re: Percentage required in 12th to join direct interview? For most of the job especially government sector candidates have to first clear the entrance exam. They will be eligible to appear for the exam if they meet the required marks in qualifying exam. In the private sector there are some companies which call candidates for interview round based on the marks. But for them the minimum qualification required is graduation. Candidates with good academic records i.e. minimum of first class can certainly expect calls if they fare well in the entrance exam also.
