Re: Is there direct recruitment for income tax officer?  Staff Selection Committee or SSC conducts the exam to recruit income tax officers. Therefore there is no direct entry scheme for this exam. =>The eligibility criteria for this exam includes a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. =>Age limit: 18-27 years. There is age relaxation of upto three years for the OBC candidates and upto five years for the SC/ST candidates. =>You can apply for the exam both online and offline. The cost of the application form is Rs.100. Exam Pattern:  Physical Criteria: In case of males height should be minimum 157.5 cm. Chest should be 81 cm and expandable upto 5cm. In case of females height should be 152 cm and weight should be 48 kgs. There is upto 2.5 cm of height relaxation and upto 2 kg of weight relaxation for the female candidates. Apart from this you should complete walking for 1km in 20 minutes and cycling for 3 km in 25 minutes. Official Website: www.ssconline.nic.in |

As per my knowledge you have to go through the entrance exam which is conducted by the staff selection commission.For an Income Tax officer, the minimum academic qualification required is a bachelors degree, in any discipline, from a recognized university.The eligible age for the post of Income Tax officer is between 18-27 years. The examination which you will need to crack, to become Income Tax officer is known as combined graduate level examination and is conducted by Staff Selection Commission. |
