Many prefer Electronics and Telecommunication over Electronics. So cut of Electronics and Telecommunication is bit higher than electronics. Try to go for best college like IIT or NIT Reason being, these colleges attracts lots of good company. By any chance if you are not able to get electronics and telecommunication even then there would be good number of company for electronics. All the best |

But as you have mentioned that you have great interest in electronics then you should go for that because one can do best in the stream which he/she really like. Professionaly its good. You can get a job in government as well as in private sector. You can easily get a job in MNC's according to your performance. Telecommunication has the same scope if you make comparision between these two. But you should select the one in which you have more interest. Wish you all the very best. |

Re: Which branch to prefer, Electronics or Electronics and Telecommunication? hi...there is not any major difference as for as the course contents of both the branches are concerned ,there is few different subjects but they will be hardly 4 or 5 and that too in the 6th or 7Th semesters . now comes the placement and job opportunities part which is the most important thing to be considered before joining any engineering field ,as for as the electronics department is concerned its an core field and probably having the best paying jobs among the most common engineering branches ,there are companies like Ericsson, Motorola ,national instruments which do pay very high salaries even for freshers also ,and also there is many jobs in public sector companies in our country as far as the electronics and communication engineering are concerned its also an very good field in our country and with such great development in the communication sector there is huge scope in this branch , companies like bsnl and mtnl are providing jobs with very good pay for people from these fields ,also there is an scope to write various upsc exams like the Indian engineering services irrespective of what field you choose among electronics or electronics and communication engineering |

But while making your selection you need to consider the further opportunity in the specific field also. As you mentioned that you are interested in electronics, it is better to take that stream. Electronics candidates have lot of opportunity in various industries. You will able to work with government as well as the corporate firms including the MNCs. Selecting an electronic stream will also give flexible career opportunities. The telecommunication is also a booming sector and you can opt for that also if you are interested. |

Which branch to prefer, Electronics or Electronics and Telecommunication? I like electronics. I am intrested in both but which is perfect branch as per placements available & my liking&my convinience?please tell me. |
