animation courses will be the best if you are interested only in animation....
B.e is preferred if you want to be a software professional in a company.

Re: B.E or any graduate degree helps animation?

it would be a waste of time...you don't need to do BE if you want to be a good animator....instead do a animation program from a reputed institute and get valuable work experience to be successful....you won't get desired monetary output at start but once you are good in animation then you can make loads of money....

Re: B.E or any graduate degree helps animation?

Hai,

First of all, you have be determined about what you wanted to do?

Do not fluctuate between Engineering & Animation.

Each has its own parameters.

But if you are sure you wanted to enter Animation, then these are the guidelines:-

Eligibility: You need a pass mark with 45% in +2

List of Institutes offering animation course:
National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad
JJ School of Arts
Industrial Design Center,IIT,Mumbai
Academy of Animation & Gaming

Some institutes are offering PG courses also.
You can find out some Institute from your area also.

All the Best......

Re: B.E or any graduate degree helps animation?

If you are aiming for prestigious institutes like the IITs, the National Institute of Design (NID) or, for that matter, Industrial Design Center (IDC), you will need a B. Arch., B.E. or B.Tech. degree. Otherwise, your 10+2 qualification will suffice. Your creativity, artistic penchant are more important than anything else.

Prospects in the field of Animation are plenty - right from Web-designining, Fashion designing and interior designing to Advertising, entertainment, etc.
