Re: Can a dentist join Indian Army?

[QUOTE=Mrs_Praveen_Gola;424334]Yes ,you can join the Indian army but the main factor is your age that has to be considered. As you are a dentist by profession so that means you are above 25 years but in some exams the age is below 25 years. So you have to check it throughly.
But the educational qualification is ok for you as the minimum qualification is 12th pass in some posts.

The details of some exams are as follows-
1. Indian Army Soldiers Nursing Assistant Exam
Nationality : Unmarried Indian male citizens (including those of Nepal) are eligible.
Age : 17˝-23 Years.
Educational Qualification : SSLC / Matric (Maths, English & Biology).

2. Indian Army Soldier Clerk's Exam
Eligibility (As in M.E.R. Exam) :
a. Matric or its equivalent with English and Mathematics.
b. Age: 16 to 23 years.

3. Army Reserve
Eligibility for the Army Reserve is also open to a large majority of the civilian population. Its current requirements depend on whether you decide to simply enlist as a private or wish to purse commission as an officer.
Age: 17 to 42 years.[/QUOTE
