For admission in Indian Institute of Technology(I.I.T) you have to pass 12th with minimum 60% marks. For ST/SC candidate minimum 55% marks is require. In All India Engineering Entrance Exam(A.I.E.E.E) You have to pass 12th class with minimum 50% marks and For ST/SC candidate minimum 45% marks is require. For A.I.E.E.E candidate must be citizen of India. The age should be above 17 year. ALL THE BEST! |

Dear Friend , For your sake of Convenience i have just listed all the eligibility criteria for IIT JEE and AIEEE separately. * The Required Eligibility Criteria for IIT JEE are the following : a) you must have passed your 12th with a minimum of 60% marks . b) You must have chosen Physics , chemistry and mathematics as your key subjects in 12th. c) Your age should lie in between 16-24 years. d) You are only allowed to appear in IIT-JEE twice in consecutive years. * The Required Eligibility Criteria for AIEEE are the following : a) You must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in 12th from any recognized college / school. b) You are allowed a maximum of 4 attempts to appear in AIEEE. c) The rest criteria are same as that of IIT JEE. This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Hope the information will help you to the extent you want. |

Dear friend, In case of appearing in the IIT-JEE exam you should have- 1. 60% in Physics 2. 60% in Chemistry 3. 60% in Maths and in case of admission through AIEEE all you need is to pass your 10+2 from a recognized board. Although as far as your future career is concerned tr to score at least 60% marks in PCM Try to maintain a minimum of 60% overall career percentage to appear in the top level companies. Eligibility for IIT-JEE In order to appear for the IIT-JEE exam you need to fulfill the following conditions :- 1) You should be a 12th pass-out with an aggregate percentage of 60% or above in PCM in 12th boards (10th percentage is not considered for eligibility) and 55% for SC/ST 2) You have 2 attempts to clear this exam..one in the year of your passing of 12th boards and the next chance is in the consecutive year.. all the best..the syllabus is almost same as the 11th and 12th syllabus of PCM ~Hope this helps..  ~With Warm Regards "Nitz" |

Re: How much percentage required in class 10th and 12th to be eligible for IIT JEE and AIEEE entrance exam? iit jee conducted by iit for btech courses in various stream of engg in iit,iisc,bhu,ism etc.the eligibilty criteria individual is having 60% or more marks in 12 .having physics chemistry and math subject in 12.individual having only two chances to appear in this exam first during 12 and second after one year gap.aieee are conducted by cbse for admission in various nit and other colleges.there is not having percentage problem.in both exams 10 markd no where matter. |

Eligibility for AIEEE exam:- *The candidate must have complete the 12th in science having physics, maths and chemistry.. *The candidate must have 50% marks in 12th.. *One can appear in IIT exam twice in a consecutive manner. *The candidate can also appear in IIT exam during the year of appearing in 12th exam.. Once you pass your 10th, it is only valid till you get into 11th, thereafter you'll seldom need it. However it doesnt mean you dont score well in 10th. If you wish to go abroad, it counts as well. For JEE, and most other exams(engineering), the minimum requirement is a 60% aggregate in the qualifying examination, i.e., 12th or equivalent. BITSAT has a minimum criteria of 80% in the respective subjects in 12th. AIEEE requires a pass in the qualifying exam. Here you must note that once you clear AIEEE colleges you wish to apply to may have separate independent requirements. So try to get 60% at minimum. Best of luck. |

Re: How much percentage required in class 10th and 12th to be eligible for IIT JEE and AIEEE entrance exam? you must get first class mark in 10th i.e.,60% and in inter you have to score 60% atleast for any competitive examination for iit or aieee or for any Indian institutions.....but things you have to remember if you want to attend IIT examination is, apart from languages,you should have maths ,physics n chemistry on finger tips...try to solve previous question papers and at the time of examination you will feel free....all the best |
