Re: How to prepare for ACIO? I am a MCA student ACIO stands for Assistant Central Intelligence Officers. the Ministry of Home Affairs does the recruitment of the ACIO in the Intelligence Bureau Department through examination. The form must be filled online for the ACIO which is available in the official website of the Ministry of Home Affairs. The ACIO examination have both descriptive and objective questions. Paper I have objective question and Paper II have descriptive questions. the questions of Paper II is basically Test of English Language. The total time given is 1hour 40 minutes in total for both Paper I and II.. Syllabus of the ACIO is: Paper I consist of General Awareness, General Knowledge, Mathematical Aptitude, Reasoning and English Language.this section have only MCQs. Paper II have descriptive answers regarding English Language. for the preparation of ACIO get through the newspaper regularly and surf net for keeping an eye on the current affairs. a good vocabulary and basic english knowledge is needed. MCQ type question of mathematics should be practiced. some of the helpful books are 1)IB ACIO guode by R.Gupta 2)Bharti Pariksha by Pratiyogita Sahitya 3)Bharti Pariksha by Lal and Jain 4)ACIO practice work book by Kiran Prakshan. check the official website of the Ministry of Home Affairs http://mha.nic.in |

Re: How to prepare for ACIO? I am a MCA student You can expect questions from areas like General Awareness, Reasoning, Mathematics and English Language. There will be both descriptive and objective type questions. So for sections like reasoning, mathematics and English language you need to solve various types of problems. Practicing past papers will be useful. For the general awareness section only vast reading can help. Read newspapers, year books, magazines etc. |
