I want to know whether will i be elligible to try for Phd in IITs, if not what else do i have to do to get the elligibility? Secondly, i want to know the procedure for the part time Phd in IIT, because i have a family and i belong to souther part of India. Thirdly i want to know whether IITs entertain Phds in Management or not? Regards Mohammed Naveed U |

MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR P.hd IN IIT'S : - > B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Sc.(Engg.)/M.Tech. in any branch of Engineering or M.Sc. from a reputed institution is necessary. you are required to have very good academic record and background or experience in Information Technology. > Fresh candidates (B.E./B.Tech./M.Sc.) besides an excellent academic record should have exceptional (CS,IT or EE) GATE scores. For working candidates, the requirement of GATE scores is relaxed provided they have at least two years relevant experience in CS/IT. > desirous of earning a Ph.D. in a particular area should exhibit deep understanding and maturity in that area. This is evaluated through an extensive interview by a panel of experts. A description of one or two proposed areas of specialization (1-2 pages per area) is to be attached along with the application form. The description should include references to work published in leading journals or conference proceedings including at least one reference to seminal work in that field. ALL THE BEST..... If you have completed M.Sc in science department then you can apply for PHD Post in IIT but you must have NET score.If you have M.Phil degree with masters degree , then also you are applicable. If you have completed B-TECH/MCA degree or Final year of B-TECH degree then also you are applicable for PHD in IIT but you must have valid GATE score . If you have completed M-TECH degree then also you are applicable for PHD course in IIT . For this course not require any age .So you can apply here in any stage. PHD course are two types in IIT full time and Part time.Full time candidate get the stipend up to 4th year . Selection process for PHD course in IIT is - Shortlisted Candidate called for Written Test .If you have cleared the written exam then , they conduct for Interview same day or next day. Written test Questions are technical Type so if you fully prepared in GATE exam the definitely you should cracked the written exam. . |
