IES in only for MECHANICAL ENGINEERING,CIVIL,ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING,ELECTRONICS AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING.

So you(CSE/IT) are not eligible to apply IES exam.If you apply then there is no assurance for your exam fees.Once paid they wont refund your money.So you can search other jobs conducting by upsc like civil service,SSC,departmental exams,etc.

want to know the coching centers for IES/PSU exam preparations in hyderabad or Thane region.I need it very badly.I want only class room training kind of institutes. I do not want distance course or materiarls.It woyld be great help if you can give this info to me.

for the IAS U can prepair easliy becaue u know how we did hard work.because u r student of B.E. and for the becoming your passion are requird and get the guidence of slected person.

sorry,as you are B.tech in CSE,so you are not eligible for Indian Engineering Service(IES).
You can try for others govt job.

IES- Indian Engineering Service

For IES exam after complete your B.TECH then you eligible for IES exam.

4 Branches students are eligible for this exam.

1)Civil Engg.
2)Electronics Engg
3)Electrical Engg.
4)Mechanical Engg.

Written exam is conducted 2 sections

*Objective type
*Another section is Conventional papers
both section will be cover the entire syllabus.

Criteria for IES exam:-

*Candidate must pass graduation of B.TECH
*Age- 21 to 30 years
Age relax as per Govt. rules

for IES(Indian Engineering Services) b.E in computer science engineering are not eligible. the fours stream of engineering eligible for IES examination are-
Category I—Civil Engineering.
Category II—Mechanical Engineering.
Category III—Electrical Engineering.
Category IV—Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering.

so you can not appear in this examination.

IES examination is conducted by UPSC for the engineering services. visit the UPSC official website http://www.upsc.gov.in for more details about this examination. here i am attaching the notification for engineering services examination 2011 notification go to the attachment file you will get details about eligibility criterion and other details.

i will suggest you to try for any other job. you may try for civil services examination conducted by UPSC. you may try for job in IT industry and in Software industry.

Information Regarding IES Examination.

First i inform you that Computer Science branch are not eligible to apply for the IES examination. The IES examination is conducted by the UPSC in every year. According to eligibility criteria for IES examination the computer science and engineering branch are not eligible for the IES examination. The eligible branch for the IES examination is given below.

Eligible Branch for IES Examination.

->Electronics & Communication Engineering.
->Electrical Engineering.
->Civil Engineering.
->Mechanical Engineering.


NOTE :- The computer science and information technology branch are not eligible for the IES examination.

If you are a computer science student then you are not eligible for the IES examination but you can appear in the IAS, IPS...and many other examination. So i advise you to go for another examination.
