Re: M.Sc in biochemistry or M.Sc microbiology? what's better?

i think its upto you and both fields are progressive and has a great future ahead but as you have said that your background is poor so it is not at all a matter of worry try and get admission into any of the universities where fees is low and give the jnu entrance exams whose notification are already out but as far as the ques of comparision is there i would not compare because biochemistry is the study of biomolecules of life and their function and there role in our body and in microbiology it is the study of micro-organisms and related aspects with it as i myself being a student of biotechnology find it very difficult to choose between the two but still both are intresting and have a lot of scope to do research and make career out of it but i think biochemistry is not as good as microbio but its totally up to you and your choice what to take and study as your intrest is the main concern not mine the subject you catch well you must go for it as it well help in your future. all the best and for any further details and querries do write to me.. take care and i hope you make the right and a judicious decision.. bye take care

both the subjects are having an wider option because both are medical related courses
the completion of Msc will be depend on in which college you pursue (there will be100% placement also)
you should complete your Bsc with at-least 65-75% then you can enter to an very good college after writing entrance exam
after completing Msc if you finished the NET exam then if you join to an MNC company you will get a starting scale of 40000/month + 16000 (by NET exam)
if you had more interest you can opt Phd biochemistry as an part time k,,,,,,,,,

all the best (you can rock more in biochemistry then in microbiology)

Dear Friend,
there are so many subjects,
each subjects has its own importancy.

Bio-chemistry as well as Micro-Biology have their own impotancy.
According to me,go for this subject in which you have completed the Bachelor degree.

Good luck.

hi, i did my U.G in biotechnology and doing my P.G. in environmental science. to speak frankly until you master the science both subjects doesnt make your future bright, please try to understand the concepts around it and check with yourself whether you are capable of doing that course, both are easier one and has equal weightage, lab technicians jobs are available both in state and union sectors, only thing what we should do is we should study the subject thoroughly, merit students will rock, bye
