Those who pass CPT will get admission for IPCC, don't wait with bcom. Bcom CA is actually very complex. Also it require 55% marks which you don't have. Register yourself for IPCC with CPT route. Study well for IPCC. Write the exam. Go for articleship training. Its for 3 years. Do final. Be a Chartered Accountant.

Hi Friend......

Yes, you are eligible for IPCC with your B.Com degree

CA Course have 3 stages

1. CA CPT

2. IPCC

3. CA Final

If you are completed your graduation successfully

then you can registered for IPCC without CPT

CPT is exempted for Graduation completed students....

all the best.

Re: Am I eligible for IPCC after passing B.Com? I want to do CA

DEAR FRIEND,

You have heard right about the chances made by the ICAI. However since you are falling short of the required percentage, you would not get direct admission for stage 2 of IPCC exam. It does not matter whether you failed to make the cut by 1 percent marks or .1 percent, you will not get any relaxation. Therefore here is the procedure for you to apply for IPCC course.

The Chartered Accountancy Course has 3 stages which are:

1. Common Proficiency Test (CPT)

2. Integrated Professional Competancy Test (IPPC)

3. Final Course

ALL THE BEST.

CPT

To appear for Common Proficiency Test candidate must have passed Class 10th. CPT is a 200 marks paper where you need at least 50 percent marks to qualify it. Only the candidates who will pass the CPT exam would go for the next step.

1. Fundamentals of Accountancy

2. Economics

3. Mercantile Law

4. Quantitative Aptitude

Integrated Professional Competancy Test (IPCC)

There are two ways to get admission for Integrated Professional Competancy Test (IPCC). Firsly you can get admission by clearing the Common Proficiency Test. While thanks to the recent changes by ICAI, candidates can also seek direct admission if meet this criteria:

1. A B.Com degree with at least 55 percent marks.

2. Other graduation degree apart from B.Com with at least 60 percent marks.

The IPCC is divided into two groups with total of 7 papers.

Group 1

1. Accounting

2. Business Laws,Ethics and Communication

3. Cost Accounting and Financial Management

4. Taxation

Group 2

5. Advanced Accounting

6. Auditing and Assurance

7. Information Technology and Strategic Management

Final Course

After passing IPCC, you would reach the Final Course which is also the most difficult stage of three. Final Course is the reason why less than 15 percent students manages to pass CA. The Final Course is also divided into 3 stages.

Group 1

1. Financial Reporting

2. Strategic Financial Management

3. Advanced Auditing and Professional Ethics

4. Corporate and Allied Laws

Group 2

5. Advanced Management Accounting

6. Information System control and Audit

7. Direct Tax Laws

8. indirect tax Laws
