Re: What is the last date of NET exam? hi, NET is national eligibility test and it is a exam that is conducted by university grant commission two times every year. If you have completed your master degree with good marks then you can apply for the exam. The exam is of objective type of nature and 3 sessions would be there, 2 Sessions would be of 100 marks and 1 is of 150 marks. NET exam date for June session is already over so you can wait for Next notification for the exam of December 2012.The announcement will be published on UGC website. Now coming to your question then NET is as i said is a half yearly exam and the next last date for applying is not yet disclosed so it is advisable to pay a regular visit to the official site of UGC. Your age should be more then 19 years and there is no age limitation for those who are applying for Lectureship but for JRF , Your age should not be more then 28 years. General Candidates Rs.450/- Other Backward Classes (Non-creamy layer, as per the Central list of OBC available on website ) Rs.225/- SC/ST/PH/VH candidates Rs.110/- From this year NET exam is fully based on objective type Question paper . Even paper III also objective type.There is no negative marking in any papers . NET exam date for June session is already over so you can wait for Next notification for the exam of December 2012.The announcement will be published on UGC website.
