Sir i had gvn cat dis year and in quant sectn 15 qustns i solvd ryt out of 30 and 13 out of 30 in reamaining sectn and overal 5 were wrong and my tenth percntge is 84 and 12 and b.e is 65 whch colg i cn get

HELLO FRIEND,

1) THE CUT OFFS AND CRITERIA CHANGES EVERY YEAR -FOR THE IIM AND EVEN THE TOP B.SCHOOLS. SO FRIEND , I WOULD SUGGEST YOU NOT TO DEPEND UPON THE CUT OFF MARKS , INSTEAD OF THAT START AIMING FOR HIGH PERCENTILE IN CAT EXAM .

THE DETAILS FOR THE CUT OFFS FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR-2010-2012.

IIM(A): candidate had to score minimum 17% in each section and 25% in aggregate .Overall had to obtain 99 percentile and minimum 96.1 percentile.

QUALIFING FOR CAT DOES NOT MEAN THAT YOU WILL BE CALLED FOR G.D. AND P.I. ,you must posses a good academic record in your 10 and +2 level that is 70% minimum.

AFTER FULFILLING THE ABOVE CRITERIA ,THEN ONLY CANDIDATES SHORTLISTED FOR INTERVIEW.

2) yes, this is the right time for you to get started and doing prepartion for your CAT exam .you have to set your mind for this test and aiming for high score in CAT in order to get admission in IIM (A).

3) There is no way ,you have toimprove your vocabulary , andcommunication skill .so start preparing from now.

CAT exam eligibility criteria:

The candidates should be a graduate in any discipline from a recognize university with aggregate 50% & 45% in other OBC candidates.

As you are interested to Take admission in IIM Ahmadabad for this you have to score
more than 95%(percentile) then only you can join in IIMS (Ahm)

To make into IIM- Ahmedabad, generally critics say to score nearer to 99% ile. Inspite of being a ST student, don't rely upon your reservation percentage as per trends we can say the criticism over reservation is increasing day by day.

In affect with that elite institutes like IIT's and IIMs may remove the reservation policies/make changes in them, What I suggest is please don't depend on reservations or like.

Target over 99%ile score in CAT, definitely you can get a chance to sit in such prestigious institution.

In my recent analysis IIMs are not only looking at CAT score but also they are taking
10th, 12th and graduation percentages in to consideration.

However, having more work experience is always a plus point to your profile. Your CAT score weight over 70% and the remaining 30% is the above all what I have mentioned.

if your english vocabulary is not perfect .then i am not sure about selection because english is perfect

Yes, it will definitely help you, it will be good if you start your preparation as early as possible. But don't forgot to score good marks in your academics too. Because your each and every number in the percentage will help you in getting your dream closer to you.

No dear, you should improve your vocab, this is mandatory. Because, especially for CAT more than 2 lakh people will appear every year. Only few lucky 100s of people will get admission into IIMs that too IIM A is the best one for which you are aspiring.

Build your vocabulary as much as possible, as you have ample time. Don't waste any of your time. Use your time in a productive manner.

And I forgot to tell, As per your category you will surely get some benefits everywhere in CAT-MBA admissions.
Keep your interest unchanged till your goal is reached.
