Re: Is there any college to do B.E after diploma in 1 year? There is no such scheme that would let you complete B.Tech in one year after diploma. You will have to take proper admission in Engineering college and the duration of B.tech for you would be 3 years since you are a diploma candidate. While the duration of B.Tech is 4 years, it is scaled down to 3 years for diploma students. The admission procedure for diploma students is also different. All the engineering entrance exams require minimum qualification of 12th standard. This is why diploma students can not appear for IIT-JEE, AIEEE etc entrance exams. You will have to appear for the LEET entrance exam for admission in B.Tech college. This entire procedure is called lateral entry scheme. Now for admission in B.Tech you will need at least 50/60 percent marks in diploma. Then only you will be able to get admission in good engineering colleges. The only disadvantage for lateral entry students is that they can not apply in IIT or the NIT for B.Tech course. Remaining colleges offer admission to these students. In fact several colleges reserve some seats for such students. You can apply after appearing for LEET entrance exam. Although not every college in India accept LEET exam. Some prefer to conduct their own written test to offer admission to lateral entry student. You can also get direct admission which is offered by several colleges. But it would depend on your percentage. |
