Dear friend for apply IPS officer exam the minimum Education qualification is Graduation degree in any stream from a recognized University.

Indian Police Services exam is conducted by UPSC under Civil Services exam.

Eligibility criteria:-

Candidate should be an Indian citizen.

Candidate should be completed Graduation degree in any stream from a recognized University.

Age should be between 21 years to 30 years for General category candidates.

Age relaxation for OBC category candidates 3 years

And SC/ST category candidates 5 years.


Number of Attempts:-

General category candidates - 4 time

OBC category Candidates - 7 time

SC/ST category candidates - No limit.

Physical Standard:--

Height – Male 165 cm and Female -150 cm

Chest – Male Minimum 84 cm. Expansion 5 cm.

The Indian Police Service is simply known as IPS.
Qualification For IPS Officer :
1.To eligible for becoming an IPS officer ,the aspirant should have posses a degree course or equivalent in any Recognized Indian University.Those students in the final year are also apply for preliminary exam of IPS conduct by UPSC (Union Public Service commission) every year .
Age:
For General : Minimum Age- 21 & Maximum Age- 30.
The maximum age limit will be relaxed by 3 year for OBC , 5 year for SC/ST and also relaxed in favour of Defence services Personnel.
For IPS the candidate must be a citizen of India.

IPS Officer stands for Indian Police Services officer. This post comes under civil services and the exam of this is conducted by Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) once in a year. This exam is considered to be toughest exam which held in India. The selection procedure is very tough. Very few people get selected in the exam. In order to get selected you must be prepare well for the exam. There are three stages which you have to clear in order to become IPS officer:

  • For male candidates it should not be less than 84cm and they should be able to expand the chest for 5cm.
  • For female candidates it should not be less than 79cm and they should be able to expand the chest for 5cm.

  • For OBC candidates - 7 times
  • For SC/ST candidates - no limit.

Exam Pattern:-

Preliminary Exam:- Paper-1
  • Current events of national and international importance
  • History of India and Indian national movement
  • Indian and World Geography- physical, social, economic geography of India and the world
  • Indian Polity and governance – constitution, political system, panchayati raj, public policy, Rights issues, etc.
  • Economic and social development – sustainable development, poverty, inclusion, demographics, social sector initiatives etc.
  • General issues on environmental ecology, bio-diversity and climate change-that do not require subject specialization
  • General science.

  • Comprehension
  • Interpersonal skills including communication skills
  • Logical reasoning and analytical ability
  • Decision making and problem solving
  • General mental ability
  • Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude etc. (Class X level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. –Class X level)

The eligible candidate aspiring for IPS, must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate with good physical Fitness.

There are certain prescribed physical requirements to be maintained by aspiring candidate for IPS:-

iii. Qualification:

The correction by lenses only. High standard for the Colour-blind test. No inherent night blindness. Vision should stereoscopic.

Ear- good listening & normal ear cavity. 1000 to 4000 frequency hearing impairment should not be more than 30 decibels.

Nasal- clear and free from any polyps and injury, both nasal passages should be clear.

Speech-The candidate should not stammer while speaking.

Height –
Male 165 cm Male (general) & (SC/ ST/ OBC) – 160 cm
Female 150 cm Female (general) & (SC/ ST/ OBC)- 145 cm

Chest –
Male Minimum 84 cm. Expansion 5 cm.
Female Min 79 cm expansion 5 cm.

Blood pressure (High) :–
123– 127.

Ladies should not be pregnant at the time of Medical Test.

The physical standards are a rigorous training at the NPA, which includes weekly run for 10 k.m. in 60 minutes, route march for 25 k.m. UAC, Horse riding, rock climbing, assault course, PT obstacles, rope climbing etc.

In order to become an IPS officer you have to appear in civil services exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) each year. You can read more information on this from the website of UPSC. Before appearing for Civil Services examinations, it is advisable to build an alternative career for yourself. So, you should for now pay attention to your engineering first and try to develop your personality. You can then later on sit for the IPS officer paper.

The UPSC examination comprises of two successive stages. IPS exam is carried out by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) and constitutes two stages:

1. The Preliminary Examination and
2. The Main Examination.


• Preliminary Exam comprises multiple choice questions aFnd is also a qualifying exam for appearing into second exam.
• Main Examination which comprises a written exam and an interview.

Eligibility for IPS exam


You must be graduate.final year students also can apply.
You must be 21 years (minimum) and 30 years (maximum) at the time of taking exam. SC/ST/OBC and ex-servicemen are given exemption of 3 to 5 years in maximum age limit.
People belonging to general category can appear for IPS exam four times, while OBCs can appear for seven times but no limit has been set for SC/ST. keep in mind, even appearing in just exam is counted as an attempt.
You also need to meet physical standards mentioned in application form.

Required Qualification to join IPS:-
You should have completed Graduation degree in any discipline from recognized university.
Candidate appeared/appearing in the final exam of above such program are also eligible to apply for IPS.
There is no restriction on minimum percentage of marks for Graduation course.
your Age should ne in between 21 to 30 years. You must hav an Indian citizenship.
Both male & female candidates are eligible to become an IPS officer.

* You must hold a bachelors degree in any stream from any recognized college/university.

eligible criteria for IPS:

Academic Qualification :
you should have graduate with any Branch



Age:::

General category:
candidate must have age between attained 21 year to 30 years

SC/ST:
up to a maximum of 5 years.

OBC:
up to a maximum of 3 years.

attempt:::

general: Four times only.
Where as attempts of
OBC: Seven times only.

SC/ST: no limit

IPS exam is conducted by UPSC. There are some criteria you have to follow for appearing in IPS exam.

Those candidate have completed graduation in any discipline from recognized university are eligible for IPS exam.

But your age should be in between 21-30years for general candidate.In IPS exam their is provide age relaxation for OBC candidate is 3years and for SC/ST candidate is 5 years.

The maximum attempts for Sc/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years.

Also you must be citizen of India.

Exam Pattern:
There is a two exams are there.
1.Preliminary Examination: It is objective type
2.Main Examination:It includes written Examination and personal Interview

If you want to become I.P.S officer then you have to pass the graduation in any stream you want from the recognized university.

I.P.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C once in a year.
Eligibility criteria:-

Hi,

To become IPS officer , you have to appear for the UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) examination.

It has three type of phase,you need to clear:-

-objective Aptitude Test
-Written Descriptive examination
-Personal Interview

Merit list will be made based on descriptive exam and interview. To sit in Descriptive exam ,you need to pass aptitude test.

If your rank in merit list is good , then you will have the choice to go for IPS.

Eligibility criteria:-

-You need to complete your Graduate degree course in any discipline form a recognized university.

-Your age should between 21 to 30 years.

-Final year graduate candidates are also apply for UPSC Civil services examination.

You need to have the knowledge of English and Hindi.

-There is No minimum percentage is Required to apply for this examination.

Indian Police Service exam is part of Civil Service exam.So if you fulfill with Civil service exam,then you are also eligible for Indian Police Service exam.Civil service exam is conducted by UPSC every year once.

Eligibility criteria for Civil service exam:
Education qualification:
You should have complete graduation degree with any stream from a recognized university.
Age limit:
If you belong to General category,then your age should be between 21 to 30 years.
If you belong to OBC category,then your age should be between 21 to 33 years.
If you belong to SC/ST category,then your age should be between 21 to 35 years.

Number of Attempts:
If you belong to General category,then you can attempt 4 times
If you belong to OBC category,then you can attempt 7 times
If you belong to SC/ST category,then you can attempt 14 times.

If you fulfill with above mentioned criteria,then you can appear for this year civil service exam.

Issuing of application form from 4th Feb 2012 to 5th March 2012.
Exam will held on 20th May 2012.

IPS(Indian Police Service) Officer you need to apply for the UPSC Civil services examination,

Eligiblity Criteria -


Eligibility criteria-
Education:have to complete your Graduate degree form a recognised university.

Age limit-21 must be complete on 1st aug(Maximum 30 for general category, 33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/STs ).

Physical criteria-
Height – Male 165 cm Pahari Male (general also) & ST (not the SC/ OBC) – 160 cm

Female 150 cm Pahari Female (general also) & ST (not SC/ OBC)- 145 cm

Chest – Male Minimum 84 cm. Expansion 5 cm.

Exam Date : Prelim in 1st week of May & Mains in 2nd week of Oct.

No of attempts for candidate-
general-4
OBC-7

No limit for SC/ST student

IPS stands for indian police service, to become an IPS officer you have
to appear for UPSC exam for civil services conducted in every year...

the exam is conducted in four phases;
1) prelims
2)mains
3)interview
4)physical test

eligibility for IPS exam is;
-you should be graduate from any recognized university
-your age should be between 21-30 for general,
21-33 for OBC and 21-35 for SC/ST
-your height must not be less than 165 cm and 160 for ST for male
and 150 cm and 145 cm for ST girls
-your chest should be 84 cm with 5 cm expansion for male
and 79 cm with 5 cm expansion for girls...

The Notification of this examination was Published in the employment Newspaper OR in the UPSC website Every month i.e on February.

Those who are Interested and eligible for this examination may apply for this examination Next year.

The Notification of UPSC Civil services examination was Published on 04/Feb/2012.

The last date of apply for this examination was 05/March/2012.

Examination Date (Preliminary) - 20/May2012.

IPS is a part of Civil Services, and its exams are conducted by UPSC. Anyone who has completed 21 years of age on 1st August of the year can apply for IPS exam. You can read more information on this from the website of UPSC. Before appearing for Civil Services examinations, it is advisable to build an alternative career for yourself. So, you should for now pay attention to your engineering first and try to develop your personality. You can then later on sit for the IPS officer paper.

To become IPS officer,
you will need to apper in the civil service examination.
Civil Service examination is conducted every year by UPSC(union public service commission).

Eligibility
1-The minimum educational qualification required to be eligible for this exam is a bachelor degree in any stream.
2-The minimum eligible age for general candidate is 21 years and the maximum age limit is 30 years.
Relaxation of age for candidate belonging to OBC category is 3 years and for candidate belonging to SC/ST category is 5 years.

**Candidate needs to face three phases of the examination**.

it has some eligibility criteria .

**educational qualification is graduation in any stream from any recognized university.

**age limit:-

you fulfill this criteria means apply the exams.

the exam has CSAT and MAINS exam
