Re: Can I do JBT from Jammu Kashmir after passing 12th from NIOS? I have scored 60% marks Dear Aspirant, JBT is a Junior Basic Training to become a teacher in middle school and primary schools. ELIGIBILITY FOR JBT: You should have done 10+2 or equivalent examination with at least 50% marks. Those who are applying on the basis of bachelor degree must have at least 45% of marks. AGE CRITERIA FOR JBT: Age limit for attempting exam is 17 to 28 for all the candidates. Relaxation of five years in the upper age limit will be given to the candidates of reserved categories according to rules of the State Government. JBT Course duration is 2 years. EXAM PATTERN AND CRITERIA: * Passing the common entrance test you should get minimum 40 per cent marks.( for general category). * If belong of reserved category then you need to get only 35 per cent for passing the exam. * There will be one question paper carrying 100 questions objective type in nature. There is no exception for NIOS you should be 10+2 pass only. So if you want to become a teacher then you should start preparing for the entrance test of this course as you are eligible for it.
