If you want to become an IAS officer you need to crack the civil service exam this exam is conducted by the UPSC once a year.graduate candidates are eligible for this exam.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

Graduate candidates are applicabl

Required for this exam is 21 to 30 years

Upper age relaxation for oBC Candidates is 3 years

5 years for SC/sT candidates

Candidate should be a citizen of india

IAS aspirants, first crack the Civil Examination

Civil Examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission in yearly ones



Eligibility Criteria for Civil Examination

>> Candidates must have a any bachelor of degree in any stream from any recognized university, there is no percentage required for this examination, final year appeared students also eligible for this examination

>> Candidates age should between 21 years to 30 years for General candidates

5 years relaxation for SC/ST candidates

3 years relaxation for OBC candidates

>> Candidates should be a citizen of India

Eligibility criteria:-

IAS Exam Eligibility :

Candidates must be complete Graduation in any stream from a recognized University
Final year studying Candidates also eligible for apply
Candidates must j=have attained 21 years & not be over 30 years
The upper age limit is relaxed in specific cases as mentioned below
upto a max of 3 years if the candidates belongs to other Backward Classes
upto a max of 5 years if the candidates belongs to SC/ST

Number of Attempts :

General Candidates : Four Attempts
OBC Candidates : Seven Attempts
SC/ST Candidates : No limit

How To Join IAS


In order to join the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) a candidate must clear the Civil Service Exam which is conducted by UPSC every year..

A candidate must fulfill the following eligibility criterion :-

>> The candidate must be within the age limit of 21-30 years for general candidates, 21-33 years for OBC and 21-35 years for SC/ST candidates..

>> The candidates must have cleared their graduation from a recognized University..

>> The general candidates have 4 attempts whereas 7 attempts for OBC and there is no limit for SC/ST candidates..


You need to clear the following rounds in order to get selected :-

>> Prelims
>> Mains
>> Interview


I have attached the exam paper pattern and a few Prelims papers of previous years..

The form for the Prelims Exam shall be available from 2nd February,2013 to 4th March,2013

The Prelims will be conducted on 19th May,2013 and the Mains shall be conducted on 8th November,2013..
